I typically wait until I beat a game to give tips, but after almost 15 hours, I feel like I’ve at least gotten a few pointers for Digimon Story Time Stranger. I did these for Next Order and Survive too, so check those out if you plan to play either of those games. Let’s get started.
De-Digivolve Often
If you want your Digimon to gain improvements on their stats, one of the ways is to De-Digivolving them. Now you can’t spam this, but you can use it to your advantage by leveling a champion 15 levels, going back to a rookie and then seeing the stats boost on the side. Obviously leveling up quickly is the preferred method and in early game, this can be difficult. Which brings us to the second point.

Convert and Load
If you want to gain levels quickly and maybe some permanent stat boosts to the side too? Battle everything, collect the scan and then convert the Digimon into your storage. Keep doing this, level those Digimon and then when you feel you’ve got enough, load them into one of your main Digimon.
Experiment
One of my favorite mechanics of this game is how simple it is to Digivolve at will. You don’t need to be anywhere special like in Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth, you can do it anytime. So, what do I mean by experiment?
Let’s say you aren’t doing too well against the enemies in the area. Simply open to your Digimon management and start De-Digivolving and Digivolving until you find the Digimon you do want. Given that all you need to Digivolve is have the right stat requirements, it makes it so much easier.
Conclusion
Hopefully these tips will help you along your journey. I’m currently loving every minute of this game and can’t wait to talk more about it in my What I’m Playing articles. If you don’t own Digimon Time Stranger, I seriously recommend getting it on your system of choice. Let that be Steam, (paid links) PS5 or XSX.
We did write our review, so check that out.
As always, happy gaming.
