Alright, so I’m going to have a bit of explaining to do before I get into this article. If you’ve been following along on these posts, you have a decent idea of what games I’ve been working on. Well, I scrapped almost all of them. Why would I get rid of the games I’m playing? Well…

They lasted too long and I simply wasn’t having any fun. I’ve found that any game that lasts longer than a month, I typically start to lose interest in. It’s not great, but I would much rather have games I can enjoy talking about. So, I threw 4 of the 5 games into the backlog.

I wrote a whole article talking about when you may want to backlog a game. I think it’s worth checking out, so do that. With that said, let’s just get into this entry.

Digimon Story Time Stranger

System: Steam Deck

Playtime: 22 Hours & 41 Minutes

I don’t want to get too heavy on spoilers but I’ve reached the point where time leads are happening and it’s a major story event. My Digimon are all currently ultimates and working towards gaining some stats so I can get Megas as soon as I get my Agent Rank up another notch. I wrote some tips for this game if curious.

Pokemon Legends Z-A

System: Switch 2

Playtime: 6 Hours & 55 Minutes

I’m currently on mission 10 of the story. It’s been a fun ride, one that keeps getting better. I do have a couple issues with the game but they can mostly be overlooked. I just completed a somewhat big story event, but I won’t spoil it. Instead, I’ll just show my current team:

Kirby Return to Dream Land Deluxe

System: Switch

Playtime: About an Hour

What? More Kirby? Absolutely. The pink puffball makes a return because I am simply addicted to the games at the moment. Actually, to be honest, I’m just finding my love for the series again since I used to play it frequently as a kid. Don’t own this (paid link) title yet? It’s a remake of the (paid link) Wii game. Which, is a traditional 2D side-scrolling adventure.

I’m playing this with someone, like I usually do, and we’ve made it to the 2nd World. It’s not much of a challenge yet, but I’m sure it will become one soon enough.

Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land

System: GBA

Playtime: About 20 Minutes

Oh yes, another Kirby game. I started this because it’s a remake of the very first game back on the (paid link) NES. The upgraded visuals are a nice treat and a nostalgia trip. I’m currently on Level 2 Stage 2, so not very far currently.

Conclusion

We may eventually see some of the games I was playing back here at a later date, but for now, this is what we have going. Hope you all enjoyed and also, make sure to check out the Switch games on sale that we posted about.
