So if you’re new to playing Digimon Story Time Stranger, then I’ve got some beginner tips for you. However, beyond that, there’s also some important information to know before you get too far into your journey and that’s about side missions and why you absolutely should do every single one you can. Let’s get into it.
What are Anomoly Points?
These are rewards you get for doing main missions and also side missions. They’re the key to upgrading your Agent Rank, while also unlocking different aspects of what is essentially a skill tree. The skill tree allows your Digimon to gain better stats, allow for less needed stats for Digivolvution and so, so much more.
The Biggest Aspect? Digivolution
Gaining Agent ranks isn’t just about the skill tree though, it’s also heavily about reaching the magical ranks to unlock new evolutions. You need to be certain rank levels for your Digimon to Digivolve further to Champion, Ultimate, Mega and even beyond. For example, most Mega Digimon require a level 7 rank, which is difficult to hit unless you do every single side mission you can.
It is even possible to not unlock Mega Digivolution before the final boss, so you should really pay close attention and do all you can before continuing the story.
Are Side Missions Locked by Area or Story Events?
Yes! They most certainly are! If you don’t do the side missions while available, most of them won’t be later in the game so do them while you can. There’s some story events that occur, which I won’t spoil, that really put a divide on what’s blocked off.
