Back again with another review for a horror book. This is a smaller one, 158 pages long, but if caught my eye. So, how is I Found Puppets Living In My Apartment Walls? Let’s discuss.
Synopsis
“Johnny awakes. A puppet looms over his bed.
He recognizes the furry monster: Grandpa was its puppeteer on the children’s television show R-City Street. But Grandpa went missing a year ago. He disappeared from this very apartment building, which was converted from the old R-City Street studio.
Desperate to see Grandpa again, Johnny follows the puppet inside the building’s walls, ever deeper into a puppet-infested labyrinth…”

Thoughts
I wasn’t too sure what to expect. This is the first book I’ve ever read from this author and he has a few different books in the series. Well, I dove in finally and I have to say, I’m not disappointed. The journey between the walls is a different one, a story full of lore about an accident, a childhood TV show and a story that’s an attention grabber.
I feel as if the only issue I really had with this book is the pacing. It had a nice buildup but then it felt it ended much too quickly. The answers to the questions came in due time, but not entirely directly. Truth be told, the big reveal to what happened was a little of a let down.
Score

While I Found Puppets Living in my Apartment Walls may not be the best of the best, it does offer an interesting story with enough lore to captivate your interest. I was very curious to find out more about the lore and why everything was happening. Unfortunately, I wish it was just a tad longer and had more buildup. Right when I feel everything was really happening, it ended too soon.
If you can get the (paid link) ebook, I would recommend that as it’s cheaper. For the price you pay, I feel there’s more value with the length it is. If you do decide to read it, give us a shout over on our Facebook page and let us know.
Until next time.
