As I stated in my 2024 gaming goals blog, I am heavily into (paid link) Digimon at the moment, and I thought I would share my experiences, and give some helpful ideas. So, here are my Digimon World Next Order tips, and just for the record, these are for players in chapter 1 and perhaps chapter 2, depending on how you’re fairing.
Battle for Stats

Although this might be more difficult to do in chapter 1, it does actually serve your Digimon better to do battle than to work out in the training hall. For one reason is that the clock freezes while you’re battling, so you can get a lot of stats gained in a single day if you’re prepared. I’m talking about having a Rookie Digimon with 3-4K stats before they Digivolve to Champions.
Now I recently found this out when I got to chapter 2, and with the help of this guide, you’ll soon find yourself reaching new heights too. I’m very serious, because the training hall will not get those high stats you’ll need for some Ultimates and most Megas.
Fish for Bits

Bits are something I really struggled with for a very long time. I never could seem to have enough for everything I felt I wanted. Then I found that fish actually sell for a good amount, and they can be very easy to obtain while also not really running the clock too much either.
There are Tamer skills that can also help obtain more fish quicker, which I’ll discuss in a bit. On top of that, once you get Seadramon to join the city, you can fish there and save your auto pilots and time.
Tamer Skills
As you play, you’ll gain EXP on your Tamer level and then obtain points for every level grown. These points can be used on various skill trees, and every skill improves something for you. As this is early on, I’ll touch on the skills I think would be most helpful.

Life Boost
Increases the natural life of your Digimon.
Health Runner
Rocover HP slowly while moving.
Fisherman
Increases fishing hit rate.
Grander
Chance of being able to fish multiple times rises.
Defense Order
Enables use of Defend Command.
Learn from Experience
Boosts efficacy of post-battle parameter increase.
There’s more skills that could be recommended here but I’ll stop. These are mostly for chapter 1 and some of chapter 2. As you gain more levels, the more TP you get and the more you can unlock at a faster pace.
Collect Materials!!
I cannot stress this enough! Every time you pass a spot to extract a material from, do so! They are very helpful later when you recruit Veemon and he does building constructions! This is all available within chapter 1.
Although Veemon is in Server Desert, which is found right off to the side of Nigh Plains, you can’t recruit him quite yet until nearly the end of the first chapter, but that’s okay, just take note of his location for now.

Get the Daily Items
So certain Digimon in Floatia give you daily items. One such is Coromon and he does this from the beginning. These can be anything from medicine to auto pilots to HP & MP discs. He does this, as I’ve already suggested, every day and can be extremely helpful at the start of the game when Items and Bits are scarce. Another one is Numemon, whom you recruit pretty early on as well. He’ll give you a portable toilet, which do also come in handy.
Also, this one goes without really saying, but get the meat front the farm too. You’ll remember this one more than the others, as your Digimon will starve without it, but just thought I would still throw it out there.
Final Words of Advice
Have fun, keep in mind what I’ve said and just enjoy your time in the Digital World. After nearly 50 hours, I believe I am closing in on the end of the main story, but it has been a very amazing time and experience. So, go forward, Tamers, and raise some amazing partners with these Digimon World Next Order tips.
As an update, I did finish the game shortly after this and wrote a review for it. If you’ve heard of (paid link) Digimon Survive, I also did a review for that recently and a tip article as well.
