If you haven’t been looking for a Digimon World: Next Order Switch physical, you probably shouldn’t. What I thought would become cheap has done the opposite. We’re getting a little ahead of ourselves though. Let’s actually discuss what this game is.

What is Digimon World: Next Order?

Does anyone remember the very first Digimon World game? Well, we were brought to the Digital World to save it with our partner, who Digivolved, died and was reborn based on how we raised it. This included feeding them, praising, discipline, battles, how we raised their stats and so on.  We would give them orders in fights as to what they should do, such as attack, defend or whatever.

Digimon World: Next Order is the same. Only this game gives us two Digimon partners instead of one. You’ll have to monitor both of your partners and travel the Digital World with them to stop the disaster that is coming. This takes some practice to learn the ins and outs of the system, but it gets really fun when you start working towards your desired Digimon.

If ypu do happen to be playing this game or starting out, I wrote some tips that may be of help. I sure wish I had known these when I began my journey.

The Physical’s Cost?

Yes, back to business. The physical is now costing anywhere from $100+ for a Nintendo Switch copy on eBay & Mercari. I think that’s pretty insane given I honestly thought it would be $30 or $40 by now. This is all USD, just to clarify and this is the North American copy. You can still buy it digitally for cheaper but any physical collector might be better off buying a (paid link) PS4 copy at this time if possible. You also could import it from a different region, but I’m focusing on the cost of the NA copy.

Buying Digital Might Be Best…

In this case, I would say that going digital and skipping the physical would be the easiest option. It’s still $60, but with sales, you could get it for $15, which I did see it going for just recently.

Conclusion

So, whether you find a Digimon World: Next Order Switch physical copy necessary or not, the price is pretty ridiculous right now. If you want more information on the game itself, I wrote a lovely review that might be of interest. I hope you have a great time on your adventure, if you do decide to play.

Until next time.

Who’s to really say for sure. They didn’t anticipate how many copies would sell or they just decided to make X amount and that was all.
