I’ve seen quite a few of these lately, and I thought it would be fun to go ahead and share my own. I typically have these anyway, save for last year, and it should be fun to go over them. Here are my 2024 gaming goals.
Limit Game Purchases
The last few months have been abundant with games. I’ve bought too many, and now I wish to get back to how I operated before, which was putting a limit on how many a month I could buy. With sales in mind, I want to keep it at 10-15 a month. In all honesty, 10 would be preferred, and maybe even have some months where I limit it to 5, but we’ll see.
With months like December where I pulled in 75 games, it really reminded me just how much I dislike large hauls, especially when you have to sort them.
Finish Some RPGs
This is a pretty big one, because to my memory, I only beat Ys IX last year. This is, of course, talking about RPGs. I bought plenty of them, but actually finishing them? Well…nope.
At the current moment, I’m playing a few. The one I’m spending the most time with is (paid link) Digimon World Next Order, and I really am trying to stick with it, because I’ve been in one heck of a Digimon mood lately and it’s been on my list to play for a very long time anyway.
Get Back to the Ys Series
After beating the (paid link) 9th game, I sort of gradually fell out of playing them. I was also in the middle of (paid link) Ys VIII, so I’d really like to get back and finish it as well. At the very least, to beat that one, if not get further in the others as well.
Conclusion
Well, that covers it for my 2024 gaming goals. There aren’t very many, but that’s alright. I think going small with these situations can help you come out ahead in the long run. I hope you all are excited about your own goals, and I encourage everyone to write them down even. Make yourself see them, and manifest them as a reality.
