Coming back at you again with another roguelike auto-shooter that I love so dearly. This time, we’re going back to space for this one, but a bit differently than in Rocket Rats. Ready for this Geometry Survivor review? Let’s get started.
Gameplay
Geometry Survivors takes us to the skies (or it appears so) as we fight against different shapes of all sizes. You run around the map, which there is literally only one for the entirety of the game, and shoot your enemies. Basically, the game plays for you and you’re just avoiding what’s coming at you while collecting EXP and Credits.
Credits are the game’s currency, which you’ll use to either unlock permanent upgrades in the shop or purchase new “characters” before a run. As you level up, you’ll be choosing new weapons to aid you in your survival. After leveling so far, you can “evolve” your weapons into a stronger version of themselves.
Graphics
These are pretty simplistic but they also didn’t need to be difficult given what we’re doing. The enemies all are shapes, like geometry shapes. I actually thought this was pretty cool and different. Our “characters” are also geometry shapes too.
Soundtrack
This soundtrack is pretty great. Actually, it’s one of the best I’ve heard in one of these games in a while since Whacking Hell. Go check it out for yourself.
Controls
These are simple. Just move around and avoid the enemies coming at you. Hit A to confirm your weapon choices and go for it.
Replayability
This game has moderate replay value in the terms that you can try out different weapons and different shapes for a challenge. Such as ome of your “characters” starts with 1 HP, which obviously will make it quite difficult.
Scores
Gameplay: 7/10
Graphics: 7/10
Soundtrack: 8/10

Conclusion
Are you looking for your next roguelike adventure? I say this game is worth your money. It’s one that will keep you coming back, run after run, just to build those credits up and keep the ball moving. As always, happy gaming everyone.
