There were a whole ton of announcements from the September Nintendo Direct. I’ve picked out a few of them that I am most excited for and now I will get to share them with you all. Let’s get to it.
Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake

I was incredibly hyped to see this for many reasons. Fatal Frame II is my favorite in the Fatal Frame series. I did a review for the game a couple of years ago, and now I get to experience the remake. My only question is this a remake of the remake for the Wii or a from the ground remake? I suppose that’s something to be answered later, not that that matters too much.
Go check out the trailer for this, and then maybe consider looking into the other games in the series, such as Fatal Frame IV that just got released a couple of years ago or Maiden of Black Water.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book

The last Yoshi game we received was (paid link) Yoshi’s Crafted World in 2019. That’s been sometime ago now, and we finally have a new game releasing that looks, in my opinion, really fun. I can’t say I got a really good idea of how the game will be from what was shown, but it’s Yoshi. Here’s the trailer for anyone who hasn’t seen it.
Resident Evil Requiem

There were rumors of this happening before the Direct but it is very nice to have confirmation. We were all pretty excited when Requiem was announced back at Summer Game Fest and now I can sit comfortably on my couch and play it or in bed with the lights off.
Pokemon Pokopia

I wasn’t entirely sure how to feel about this when it was first shown. However, the more I saw made me want to play it for myself. Go look at the trailer, but I’ll be keeping my eyes out for this, what appears to be, a life sim game with Pokemon.
Super Mario Galaxy+Galaxy 2

Now I do happen to own the Mario 3D anniversary packages that contain Galaxy, but I am still very hyped to see that both titles will be available and separately at that. Super Mario Galaxy 2 was sure missed from Super Mario 3D All-Stars, but now we have a chance to get it. Amazon (paid link) has pre-orders open.
Donkey Kong DLC

As if I didn’t write about this title enough, Nintendo went and gave me another reason to hop back into Donkey Kong Bananza. This new DLC has us going to DK Island to explore and enjoy a modern look of the place. Not only that, but we now have a new way to play, Emerald Rush. If you haven’t already bought (paid link) Bananza, now would be an excellent time to hop in.
Check out our review for the title and don’t forget to check out our recommendations on what skills to upgrade first for your journey! If you aren’t too bothered by spoilers, we have the transformations all ranked as well.
Conclusion
What games are you looking forward to? There are probably plenty more that we could discuss, but I’ll leave it at these. Be sure to stay tuned for more reviews and other articles coming up in the near future. Go watch that Direct if you missed it and as always, happy gaming.
