Donkey Kong Bananza has many different skills that can be upgraded to help along in the adventure. There’s so many that you may not know where to start, which is where we come in. Today, we’ll be covering 5 skills to upgrade first. The ones that we deem will be most helpful.
To note, these are all regular skills for DK, not any of his transformations. Let’s get started.
Punch Power
This is highly important because as you descend layers, the terrain’s strength increases and so does the time it takes for DK to destroy it. Upgrading your punch powers makes it easier. It also cuts down on the time you’re spending tearing it all up.
Better Collecting
You’ll want to collect everything you come by in this game, including that gold you’re getting. It’s just as important as the chips, which I found very helpful for bananas later in the game. While you obviously can walk around collecting every single piece, upgrading this just helps you collect more in a single clap.
Better Sonar
I recommend this because you’ll be using your sonar quite often while you look for hidden secrets. The better the upgrade, the more around you became revealed with a single slap. While you’re searching for those great bananas that DK wants so badly, you’ll want this to reach as far as possible.
Bananergy
This will increase the amount of time you stay in your Bananza state. I’m positive it is highly helpful in the later areas while collecting bananas or during boss fights. Also, when you go around searching for hidden secrets and collectibles.
Drumbeat
This allows DK to transform into his Bananzas at a quicker rate. I can’t say the starting rate is terrible but this helps when you need to do them in a pinch, like in a boss battle. You’ll want to make the time count.
