Hollow Knight: Silksong is a highly talked about title right now for many reasons. After crashing several stores upon release, we’ve all been able to hop in and begin our journey. Well, I decided after about four hours, I would give just a few small tips, so let’s begin.
The Map, Quill & Compass
A lot of players may be lost when starting because of the vast forest that awaits them. Well, no fear, because as soon as you can find Shakra, you can get some help by purchasing the map. However, it doesn’t just stop there. You don’t only need the map, you’ll also need the quill to keep accurate updates for the map along with the compass, which marks your location. The compass will need to be equipped at a bench before it works.
Spend Your Rosaries
While holding onto the rosaries may seem like a great idea, if you die, you lose them. You can go and retrieve them, which is all fair, but it still can cause issues if you die again along the way. I personally have been going to defeat enemies just to get enough for whatever I wanted at that given moment.
For example, did you find something in the shop? Go out and buy it immediately, because the purchases are permanent, your rosaries are not.
Explore!
This might seem super obvious, but there’s hidden treasures to be found if you just look. These hidden treasures include items you can equip that will help you in some shape or form. For example, I found a bell that protects Hornet while she’s using the Thread to heal her wounds.
