I know I did just publish my February Game Pickups last week but yet, here we are again! I can’t wait to get into my March Game Pickups, lots of good games here so let’s begin!
Nintendo Switch
Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition
I hopped on this right after it was announced. I’ve played a little bit of every version and I have to say, I’m super pleased this game is readily available again. It did make me question if we’ll see Rayman 2 get something similar in the future, I even wrote a whole article talking about it.
Pokemon LeafGreen
I wasn’t sure to believe the rumors or not if this was coming but sure enough! I’m not concerned with what everyone else thought about this release, I was pretty happy about it. I’ve got 3 badges so far and can go work on my 4th at any time. Check out Games I’m Playing to keep up with what I’m doing and my progress.
Nintendo Switch 2
Mario Tennis Fever
This is my first Mario Tennis game. I didn’t realize that until after I started playing but I really can’t recall playing another. Perhaps I’m just forgetful but either way, I have been having a good time. I’ve played two player and solo and the game is just fun all the way around. Adventure mode a.k.a. story mode isn’t too bad either. Get yourself a (paid link) copy today, you won’t regret it. I talked about this game too in my 7 multiplayer Switch 2 games, so check that out.
Ys X
I did buy Ys X on the (paid link) PS5 sometime ago not long after it was released but when I saw that Proud Nordics was coming for the (paid link) Switch 2, I just had to get it for myself. I just started chapter 2 so I’m not very far. The game took a backseat for Requiem but I know I’ll get back to it soon.
Pokopia
This is everything everyone has been talking about. Pokemon Pokopia is a very fun, relaxing and adventurous title that reminds me of Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley mixed together.
Using Pokemon moves that Ditto transforms to really makes you think about what you’re able to do in a situation. Such as using Rock Smash on a bunch of rocks to get through the side of a mountain. I did this and ended up in a neat little area. I later found there was an easier route there but that’s besides the point. Pokopia is a game that you can spend hours on and that’s what I intend to do. Go treat yourself with a (paid link) copy today and if you don’t have a (paid link) Switch 2, this is the perfect time to grab one!
Fatal Frame II
Being a fan of the original game and owning it on both the (paid link) PS2 & (paid link) Xbox, I was super hyped to see us finally receive a remake. Japan had a (paid link) Wii remake for the game that we never got, which I also own and should one day finish playing. I’m currently on chapter 3 and after an update fixed the balancing issues I had with it, I love this game now! I hope to get fully immersed in it soon since I have been really wanting to see what they did with it. Fatal Frame II Remake is available on Steam, (paid links) Playstation 5, Xbox Series X & Nintendo Switch 2. You can also check out my review for the PS2 version here.
Resident Evil Generation Pack
I lucked out and got a copy off of (paid link) Amazon. I had already purchased (paid link) Resident Evil Requiem digitally because…well I wanted to play but hey, how could I resist physical copies? I’ve already beaten Requiem five different times, wrote our review, generalized beginner tips and also speedrun tips. I’ll be working on one more article soon, not exactly sure what yet and then I’ll be going onto a different game. You can find a copy of this on (paid link) eBay if you don’t want to constantly hunt for a potential opening from a retail store.
Balatro
I already own this via Steam thanks to Downs but I just had to get it again. I’m glad too because I’ve been having a blast with it all over again. I’m right at the point of weiting a review so stay tuned for that.
Steam
Resident Evil 2-4 Remakes
I’ve been really into the Resident Evil games thanks for Requiem and I had it as a goal for this year to play at least one game in the series. I’ve already accomplished that part of the goal but I wanted to really explore more of it at the same time so here I am. I’m currently playing RE2 Remake and having a great time.
PS Vita
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1
The one and only Vita title I got this month. I hopefully will get more soon but alas, at least this one is back in my procession now. I’ll eventually get (paid link) Re;Birth 2 & (paid link) Re;Birth 3 as well.
Conclusion
That’s it for these pickups. I think April will be a bit slower as I really am trying to cut down on how many games I buy. With that said, I hope you enjoyed and stick around for more articles in the future. As always, happy gaming!
