As most of us did on October 16th, I jumped into Pokemon Legends Z-A and after a couple of hours, I really started to question something. When did the game open up? I felt like I was on such a short leash and it was really starting to get on my nerves. I wanted freedom, I wanted to go catch more Pokemon.
Well, I soon found out that I wasn’t too far away. After all my impatience and frustrations with the “hey! Meet me at X place” as I tried to go the opposite direction finally paid off.
Mission 5
Main mission 5 has you go to the tower, then you open up side missions, helping Emma with her work. More or less, I think it’s more like an excuse for her to not do it herself, but regardless, we get side missions and what happens then?
Ah! The game opens up and you now can run around and have some fun. Though the story progression is still very much needed to unlock different mechanics, such as Mega Evolution and more Wild Zones, but at least I won’t get a phone call every little bit reminding me I’m a dog on a leash.
Freedom!!
With this happening, it isn’t often you’re stopped in your tracks from doing what you want. Even when night falls and you’re supposed to be doing battles, you can go off and do as you please. The benches scattered about offers you the chance to progress time if you wish. It’s helpful for many ways, but I definitely have been using it to look for Shuppet, which I did find myself one.
Conclusion
Are you having fun with Legends Z-A? I totally am and if you don’t have a copy for your (paid links) Switch or Switch 2, I definitely recommend and encourage you treat yourself. Stay tuned for more articles and as always, happy gaming!
