Another month has slipped by and yet, I’m not rich. What’s up with that? Kidding, but we do have all these games to discuss. So, let’s get into these September game pickups and if you missed August’s, go check those out too.

Switch

Corpse Party: Tetralogy Pack

I wrote about this game when I first ran across it and now I have it in my hands. I’ve played a few minutes of the first game, but waited since I am already working through the Luigi’s Mansion series, which you can find my review for the first title here.

Claire: Extended Cut

I’ve been wanting to give this game a go, but just haven’t found the time. Maybe now will be my chance.

Bioshock Collection

This includes Bioshock, Bioshock 2 and Bioshock: Infinite. I was playing the first game as part of What I’m Playing but I dropped it to condense how many games I had going on at once. I will say that it was running quite well on the (paid link) Nintendo Switch 2 though.

Birthday of HorrorsI

Thought this looked like a nice, short indie horror game. I haven’t actually started it yet but I probably will soon since we are in October now.

Kitten Island

This is a 2D platformer, which isn’t very detailed but is somewhat fun. I bought it because it was a penny. Maybe I’ll give it a review sometime in the far future when I decide to play it seriously.

House Flipper

If you didn’t see the article I wrote about why you absolutely should avoid this version of the game, go check that out. What I thought would be a great time with a game I know I already love turned out to be completely destroyed just seconds within the game.

Close for the Night

As interesting as I think this game sounds, it’s a broken mess. I can’t even get out of the first area. The lockpicks wouldn’t work when I hit the button and then when I restarted, I couldn’t get the lock to even appear to open the locker needed to get the lockpicks. Unfortunately, it seems this was just a waste of money so please do yourself a favor and avoid it.

Glitch Dead Loop Horror

I’m not sure how this game is, but we will find out soon enough, I am sure. I plan to start playing some short horror games very soon for October.

Switch 2

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar

I haven’t played very much of this and have actually shelved it for the time being. However, I keep hearing it is the best Story of Seasons game to date. If you want the premium edition, you may want to grab that before they’re all gone. You can still buy the (paid links) Switch and Switch 2 versions as of right now.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star Crossed World

What a name that was. So I’ve been playing this with someone and we’ve nearly finished. We are missing very few Starries at this point from the DLC. It won’t be long until we have them all.

Kirby looks absolutely beautiful on the Switch 2. If you haven’t done the upgrade, I seriously think it’s worth it. If you don’t already on the (paid link) Switch copy, then you can go that route or just buy a (paid link) Switch 2 copy straight out.

Silksong

Despite not playing Hollow Knight before, I jumped in Silksong as many others did. I knew little about it but I have really been taken by this game, putting in about 17 hours as of right now and it being the main game I am focusing on. I do plan to play Hollow Knight after this though, as I really wish to experience it as well. If you don’t already own this one, I highly recommend getting it ASAP.

Cronos: The New Dawn

I know many would not choose to play the Switch 2 version and they have every right not to. I, on the other hand, wanted to see how it would do, so here we are. Unfortunately, I dropped it when I condensed how many games I had going at once. I’m unsure how to really rate how it works since I didn’t see much yet.

Steam

Tales of Vogar

I wrote an article about when this game was on sale, which has a note from the developer so it is still worth checking out. I haven’t quite found the time to try it yet.

Conclusion

There you have it everyone. How did you guys do? Come find us on our Facebook page and let us know. I look forward to October, there are just so many games releasing. Well, until next time, happy gaming.
