Hey everyone, the team and I wanted to make a collaborative article about 13 Nintendo Switch games either spot on or under $10 (USD) that would be worth your time. These games are at regular price, just to make that clear.

Vampire Survivors
Price: $4.99
Genre: Roguelike Auto-Shooter
I’ve probably talked about this game enough that I’ve run it clear into the Earth and out the other side, but really, how can I not? The amount of playtime you get from this single game, not counting all the DLC available, is incredible. Now, I’ve already written a review, so please check that out but really, there are so many characters to unlock, weapons and passive items to test out and fun to be had.
Army of Ruin
Price: $7.99
Genre: Roguelike Auto-Shooter
I was hesitant to add another auto-shooter to thid list, but this game is just that good. I wrote a review for this, so check it out but the character models are well done and I haven’t seen another in the genre put this much effort in personally. There are plenty of weapons and trinkets to play around with, as well as characters so you can find a set to your liking.
Fishing Vacation
Price: $1.99
Genre: Horror
Your childhood best friend invites you out for a fishing trip at his uncle’s cabin. Only after you arrive, something smells…fishy, yes I went there. What started as a fun trip out may turn into something worse if you can find all the necessary clues. This is a short trip, about 30 minutes if you don’t find what’s necessary for what I deem to be the “true ending,” which it really isn’t called that.
Spooky’s Jump Scare Mansion: HD Renovation
Price: $9.99
Genre: Adventure
This is always a treat to play. A creepy playground that Spooky has full control over. 1,000 rooms to go through. Some are short, some are big and dangerous. Can you survive them all? This game gives nods to different games, such as Resident Evil & Silent Hill. Each new area is a new nightmare to tackle.
Downwell
Price: $2.99
Genre: Falling Action Game
An arcade-style descent where the goal is simple: reach the bottom while racking up the highest score. Despite being the cheapest game on this list, its quality doesn’t disappoint. Originally a mobile title, it uses just three buttons but offers surprising depth. Better yet, it supports a vertical Tate mode, perfect for a FlipGrip or vertical monitor. For only $3, you can easily sink dozens of hours into it.
Danmaku Unlimited 3
Price: $9.99
Genre: Bullet Hell Shmup
A fast-paced bullet hell shooter packed with unlockables and difficulty options. The more you play, the more content you unlock, changing how each run feels and keeping the action fresh.
99 Vidas
Price: $9.99
Genre: Beat ’Em Up
A classic-style beat ’em up for up to four players locally. It carries heavy Streets of Rage vibes but adds its own twists, like a stage where a truck relentlessly follows you as you clear enemies ahead. Solid fun, especially with friends.
Poi
Price: $9.99
Genre: 3D Platformer
A simple but well-made 3D platformer. While not groundbreaking, it plays smoothly and is arguably the best $10 platforming experience you’ll find on the Switch.
Soldam Drop
Price: $7.99
Genre: Puzzle Game
Perfect for the Switch’s portable nature, this puzzle game mixes Tetris with Othello mechanics. It has a slight learning curve, but once it clicks, it becomes a satisfying time sink for short play sessions.
Icey
Price: $9.99
Genre: Metroidvania
One of the toughest Metroidvanias I’ve played, Icey delivers smooth controls, an excellent soundtrack, and plenty of secrets to uncover. It’s all killer, no filler—and absolutely worth playing.
Charle
Bobby Six Seven
Price: $9.99
Genre: Arcade 2D Shooter
Summary:
You are Bobby Six Seven. A detective that is squaring off against the villain, Zorbass. Part fish, all villain, they are causing chaos as it goes by. You have access to different time portals to finish your mission to bring Zorbass to justice.
Other features are platforming, solving puzzles, upgrading your gear at the police station, and 16 bit awesome graphics.
Valkyrie Squad: Siege Breakers
Price: $5.99
Genre: Top Down Survival
An anime based action isometric shooter that has upgrades, weapons and a variety of characters you can be. This game takes that style of Vampire Survivors, but adds more direct RPG elements to allow for different loadout capabilities.
It also features a story mode and you are able to upgrade your base of operations and each character plays a little bit differently.
Vice Thief Simulator: 80s Nostalgia
Price: $9.99
Genre: Action
You take on the role of a their in the 1980s. It is your job to take on contracts, upgrade your gear, and work your way up to be the best thief out there.
If you want to try something different and like a bit of a grind, this game helps fulfill that itch you want to scratch.
I would be game to try this because it seems like it’d be a fun GTA clone. It has an expansive open world environment that I find interesting because it’s a time era based setting.
