Already that time. The last pickup article of the year and yes, I cut it off before Christmas because I prefer to group all of that with January’s article. So, let’s get this December game pickups article started.

Pokemon Sapphire
This has been on my list of games to get for a long time. I’ve owned copies of Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Emerald since I was a kid but never Sapphire. I do plan to play this pretty soon but I want to finished a game or two first since I know this will be a pretty long journey.
Switch
Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree
I was pretty curious about this ever since seeing the trailer. I’ve gone through the prologue and that’s about it. This is probably a game I’ll play leisurely when I’m able and feel like it. Go get yourself a (paid link) copy today!
Valkyrie Squad: Siege Breakers
Charle talked about this in our 13 Switch Games Under $10 and I’ve been keeping an eye on it since. When it had a sale, I figured I would go ahead. I’m yet to play very much but it seems fun.

Kirby Air Riders
I’ve put a lot of time into this game so far in multiplayer doing Air Rides and also Top Rides. It’s pretty fun and we’ve just started working on City Trials too. I’m not far in Road Trip but I’ll get back to that soon and hopefully have a review in the near future. Don’t have a copy yet? Hop on over and snatch up a copy of (paid link) Kirby Air Riders.

I was pretty curious about this title and hoped it would suck me in. Unfortunately it didn’t quite do that but eventually I’ll get back to it. Don’t have a (paid link) copy yet? Go treat yourself!
Tomb Raider Definitive Edition
I was pretty excited when I saw that this dropped. It wasn’t too long ago that I mentioned in one of my articles that I really wanted to play through these games and review them. Unfortunately, this is just a really bad version of the game. I was saddened when I saw how bad it looked compared to the PS4’s. So, it’s being shelved for now.

Tiny Tank
A friend has been trying to get me to buy this for over a year now. I finally did and yet, I haven’t found the right time to play it yet. Hopefully soon though, since it does look seriously fun.
Meta Quest
Vampire Survivors VR
I love Vampire Survivors. I’ve already written a review for the game, talking about my top 5 weapons and passive items and even wrote a review for co-op mode. So of course when I saw it was in VR, I absolutely had to give it a go. I’ve not played a lot yet, just about 3 or 4 rounds. It’s fin but I’m yet to see the big deal about being in virtual reality with this title. Maybe the significance of it is just lost on me.
