Steam Spring Sale Purchases

As in the spirit of great sales, I thought I would write up an article discussing what games I picked up from the Steam Spring Sale, which had a nice amount of games. I was more pleased with this one than others I’ve seen in the past. Given I will be starting my March pickups very soon, I plan to keep these short and sweet.

Anyway, let’s just get started.

Dead Space Remake

Sale Price: $14.99

I already own and have played (paid link) Dead Space on the (paid link) PS5 when it launched. I’ve written a review for it too, but I couldn’t help myself when I saw it on sale for $14.99 and that it was Steam Deck verified. I’ve played a little bit of it and I’m pretty happy with it. However, I can’t quite play it with the rest of the series, which I wrote a hefty article about.

I do plan to play this sometime soon in the future and I’ll write a new and separate review for it when I do.

Dead Space 3 & DLC

Sale Price (base game): $3.99

Sale Price (DLC): $4.99

I was on chapter 8 or 9 of Dead Space 2 when the sale went live, and I saw that Dead Space 3 was on sale for $3.99. This was exactly what I had been hoping for since I was planning to play through it as well and review it. I bought the base game and then the DLC was also on sale for $4.99 so I snatched it up too. I have already beaten Dead Space 2 by now and I just published a review for that.

The Pony Factory

Sale Price: $2.59

Store Page

This was recommended to me by someone. It’s not an expensive game but I had to snatch it up on sale. It’s a horror game of sorts but I haven’t put any time into it yet.

Alice Madness Returns

Sale Price: $0.99

Store Page

I already own this on the PS3 in physical form. I just had to buy it though when I saw the price. For anyone who doesn’t know, this game was off of Steam for a period of time and then they brought it back. I’m yet to give it a go though, perhaps soon.

Nexomon: Extinction

Sale Price: $2.99

Store Page

I’ve already played this game when it released back in 2020, but I couldn’t help but get it for $2.99. I plan to eventually play the first Nexomon title and this one so I can review both here.

Hogwarts Legacy

Sale Price: $14.99

Store Page

A friend of mine recently got into this and has been talking to me about it pretty frequently. Although I do have my (paid link) PS5 copy, I don’t have easy access to the system currently and thought maybe it would be fun to play on my Steam Deck.

Well, I haven’t actually tried it yet but I will be doing so soon. I’m sure I’ll have plenty to talk about by the time I write March’s pickup blog.

The Killing Antidote

Sale Price: $23.99

Store Page

I downloaded a beta test (I think that’s what it was called) for this game last April or so. Well, I never actually played that but for a couple of minutes. Then I saw the game released in early access and it had a demo. Okay, I hopped into that demo and my goodness, 20 minutes went by and I forgot I was even in a demo. I immediately bought the game and now I’m about an hour in.

The game features some very tight controls, fun and challenging gameplay and it looks quite promising.

Final Words

I bought maybe a tad much from this sale but it, in all honestly, could have been much more. There’s plenty of great games to buy the in Steam Spring Sale, so I hope you all find what you’re looking for as well. Happy gaming.

Sounds like a good haul! I have yet to play Hogwarts Legacy but I enjoyed Dead Space 1 and 2 very much.

The Dead Space series is one of my favorites. Did you buy anything from the sale??

        That’s very fair.

  2. […] about Spring, not the games, but those are exciting too! A lot of these I just talked about in my Steam Spring Sale pickups article, so don’t expect very big updates on some of these. With that said, let’s […]
