Dead Space 2 Remake Concept Ideas

Although the Dead Space 2 Remake was officially canned, some even saying it was never truly in the cards to start with, it still leaves a lot to be desired by fans. I’ve recently played through Dead Space 2, which I wrote a review for and it got me really thinking about what the remake could have been.

Today, I want to discuss my ideas on what we may have seen. These are just my personal ideas, going off of what the (paid link) Dead Space Remake was. So take everything I say as nothing more than a fan spitting ideas out. Anyway, let’s get started.

The Sprawl (Titan Station)

One aspect of the first game’s remake I really liked was the inclusion of locked doors by a security key card. With Titan Station being as big as it is and given how many different sections, there would be massive opportunities for this type of setup. Add a few extra rooms and you would have it ready. Even different types of key cards for each section instead of key card levels like the Ishimura had.

Then there’s the alternate quest lines. Dead Space 3 really kicked this off and then they made sure it returned for the original’s remake. I would love to see us chase down Stross’ past. Maybe a whole section on what his life was like. Just add more to the already amazing story.

Please No Alternate Timeline!!

If you read my recent post about how I believed the Dead Space Remake altered the timeline we knew, you know why I dislike this. I want to be able to play the game and enjoy it with the information I know. This isn’t to say added information or added quests aren’t wanted, they are, but suddenly making a character older or younger messes with the original triologies’ story and thus made me unable to play the Remake and then play Dead Space 2. It’s frustrating.

Conclusion

That’s really it, I don’t have anything else to add to this. The only bit of information I have that I wish to share is that I’m closing in on finishing Dead Space 3 and will be writing a review for it in the near future.
