November has come and gone and now Christmas is in the air. Depending on where you live, you’re most likely seeing signs of it either in the weather, decorations or whatever. I know I’m getting in the spirit, but enough about that, we uave some November game pickups to discuss. Let’s go!

PS4

Final Fantasy X/X-2

I’ve had this on my list to buy for a while as I still only own PS2 copies of both games and felt it would be nice to have them on a more modern console. A friend offered me this game and the next one for a very good deal, so I took them.

God of War III

I already owned a copy of this for the PS3 but for the sake of convenience, I took this along with FF X/X-2. I am yet to actually install or play it yet.

PS5

Ys VIII Limited Edition

Ys is a pretty common topic around here, as I did also just discuss the release date for Oath of Felghana. Then you also have my review for (paid link) Ys IX. Well, when I ordered Ys X: Nordics from the NIS store, I found this was available too and couldn’t help myself. Ys VIII is regarded as the best Ys title in the series, and I also am quite a fan of it.

Ys X Limited Edition

I’ve been having a great time playing the newest entry into the Ys series. The combat is nice, better than before in my opinion and that story has my attention. I’m not near being able to write a review unfortunately, but hopefully soon.

Sonic Generations

Unfortunately, I have not been able to play this yet.

Cursed Feed

This looked like a decent cheap horror game. Unfortunately I havendowplayed any of it yet.

Zombie Survivors

I know I literally just bought this in last month’s pickups and have already written a review for it, but I couldn’t resist playing again for some trophies. Unfortunately, the trophy hunter in me is still alive somewhere and shows up occasionally. Especially when a roguelike auto shooter comes along because they’re so easy to just sit and play.

Slender: The Arrival

It’s almost a little funny that both Charle and I wrote about Slender Man in each of our blogs recently. I did when talking about spooky games to play and then he mentioned them while talking about scary video games characters. I had already decided I was going to buy this sometime in the near future and well, here we are.

This isn’t my first time playing the game though. I did play the original and really enjoyed it. Though I only remember bits and pieces since it has been quite some time ago. I finally got through the first chapter after 30 minutes. A lot of this seemed to be me running around in circles, not understanding where to go and then feeling a little ignorant when I did realize. Oh well.

Switch

Comic Store Arcade

I just wrote a review on this as to why you should or why you should not purchase this game. I won’t give much details besides that it is a management game, much like Mall Manager.

Steam

Twilight Survivors

I’ve been having a fun time with this roguelike auto shooter. Out of the ones I’ve played lately, this one has definitely provided a good deal of fun, much like Monster Panic. I see a review for this in the near future. For now, all I’ll say is that I highly appreciate each character having their own skill tree. I thought that was really neat since you can focus on your favorite character and your own play styles since each one has their own weapon and way of playing. I play mostly as Aldreya since she’s a bow and arrow user.

Final Words

Well that’s all for November. Next month is Christmas and that’s going to be fun. I more than likely will not be making another Christmas blog like last year’s, so all Christmas gifts will be shown in January.
