So when I started the game like most people in November, I had already decided that a majority of my mons would be region native. I wanted to see these new mons in action, so that’s what I did. I want to share who I chose and why., so here is my (paid link) Pokemon Scarlet team.
1. Tinkaton

Fairy/Steel
This was chosen as my defense mon, and I did not choose wrong. Sure, there’s some weaknesses, but the defense is pretty high and the attacks aren’t so bad either.
2. Kilowattrel

Electric/Flying
I always have to have a bird, and how could I go wrong with an electric one? Have to admit though, it didn’t play a large role in battles. I used it, obviously, but it wasn’t a key player.
3. Tatsugiri

Dragon/Water
Okay, I wanted a dragon type, and for whatever reason, this one just seemed interesting. I trained it in special attack.
4. Armarouge

Fire/Psychic
Definitely a key player on my team, I still use it to this day, despite having a few different mons beyond this OG team. Specializing in special attacks, and having the combined forces of fire moves and psychic, it can be a Pokemon to mess with.
5. Meowscarada

Grass/Dark
I normally don’t go witht eh grass starter, but this was definitely an exception. I’m glad I did too, because this was THE key Pokemon on my team. With its signature move Flower Trick, always going first and landing critical hits, this was not one to mess with.
6. Banette

Ghost
I know, this entire list has been region mons, and now we have one from Hoenn. Well, this is my partner, the one I always have on every team if it is available. Always a female, always with the same nickname. I miss Mega Evolution too, because that made one great teammate.
Moving on…
I’ve got about 4 or 5 level 100 Pokemon beyond my original team, which are also complete with IVs and EVs. I personally am going to have fond memories with this team though, and maybe I’ll share my OG mons from Pokemon Legends: Arceus too.
