The Wii had a ton of games on it, several of which are still stuck on the system. This is why we will be covering 5 Wii Games that need to be brought to the Switch. Let’s get to it.
Muramasa

You’re given the choice of two different characters to play as: Momohime or Kisuke. This game takes place during the Edo period in Japan, delivering beautiful 2D side scrolling action. Muramasa plays differently when it comes to weaponry. While you gain EXP from defeating enemies, you also gain the ability to forge new blades that coincide with your level.
I’ve played Momohime’s route on both the Wii and PS Vita, but never got through Kisuke’s. It’s on my list of games to play, but honestly? A Switch or Switch 2 version would be just too amazing.
Fragile Dreams

This is one of those titles that I know I’ll love when I get the time to play it, but I just haven’t been able to past the first 3 hours. It’s a different type of game, following an apocalyptic world where you play as Seto as he journeys across the land in search of other living humans.
It’s a haunting tale, one I know little of but the environment is so interesting! Abandoned buildings and ghosts await us. It’s something I would absolutely love to get on the Switch and have it finally escape the Wii.
Spectrobes: Origins

Truthfully, you really should play Spectrobes and Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals on the Nintendo DS before you play this title but I’m going to include it anyway. This entry took everything from the last two entries and just made it all better. From controlling the Spectrobes to how you dug the fossils up to begin with.
Fortune Street

I already wrote a more in-depth article as to why I want this series back, but I won’t pass on an opportunity to bring it up again. The U.S. only received one game while Japan had multiple spanning across multiple systems titled Itadaki Street. Fortune Street plays a lot like Monopoly, only with using Mario and Dragon Quest characters. Japan has other variations in their games like Final Fantasy for example.
Calling

Calling is a first-person horror game that featured a lot of ghosts set in Japan. You’ll explore different locations as you progress the story of four different friends. I’m not very knowledgeable after this point, as that’s the most I’ve seen but it’s something of a mixed bag. Other critics didn’t like it very well, but there were some players who did. Regardless, I would love to see it.
Conclusion
What are some Wii titles that you would like to see come to the (paid link) Nintendo Switch? Let us know on our Facebook page. I wrote a similar post about the PS Vita if interested in that.
Until next time, happy gaming.
