PS Vita Ports I Want

So the PS Vita undeniably had an interesting library, mostly full of JRPGs or visual novels. Neither of which are bad by any means, and luckily, a lot of PS Vita ports have seen the light of day on either the PS4, Switch or Steam.

However, some have been left to rot, and that makes me quite sad. The Vita is an unfortunate case of Sony just stop caring, and such, it fell into obscurity on some level. The games are decently priced if you want them, and they add up fast.

While I’ve sold a majority of my collection, there’s some I do regret parting with, and those will be the topic of today, because those same games deserve to get their own parts too.

Let’s get into some PS Vita ports.

1. Muramasa: Rebirth

Vanillaware surely knows how to make some games, and this is one of the best in my opinion. You take on the role as either Momhime or Kisuke in a 2D hack n slash adventure, collecting blades that will up your attack power.

This game also has beautiful graphics. The scenery behind the landscapes are something to really take in as you explore. My favorites were when it was raining.

2. Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors

We got the first Criminal Girls brought over to Steam, and yet, all has been silent about the 2nd game. Now I understand these games are not for a lot of people, and if I had the chance to replace the mini games with something else, I would.

The story, however, is what gets me roped. Navigating these girls through the program, seeing their individual tales unravel, and knowing each one has some secret about them. It makes for a captivating time.

3. Tales of Hearts R

Out of the games on this list, this is the one that surprises me the most. It hasn’t heen ported, anywhere, and given the popularity of the Tales series, it makes me question why. I didn’t ever finish this game, but I played a decent amount, enough to say it’s a great entry into the series!

So why hasn’t it been ported? Who knows. I’m guessing they have some reason, but I hope it is at least on the radar.

Conclusion:

While there are some games that are still trapped on the system, I feel like they are sort of forgotten to the world, and sometimes that’s alright. These three, on the other hand, they deserve more than to just be exclusives on a handheld that Sony forgot about. Since we’ve already seen many Vita games make it to other systems, such as the Switch, PS5 and also Steam, it would be nice to see these as well.
