Back again, with more pickups. I’ve done a really great job at limiting what I’ve spent though, and how many I’ve bought, which was a goal for this year. Anyway, let’s go over my July 24 game pickups.

Wii

New Super Mario Bros. Wii

So I got this in a trade with a friend. I haven’t played this specific Mario game in over 10 years, and don’t remember much about it. It was also one of the few missing from all of the Mario games, so it gave me a chance to add it and to also play it again.

Switch

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD

So I’ve only completed one mission. I’m not sure, but I chose not to play this when I did have time to game. I’ll eventually get around to it. I have to admit I am bit saddened that they kept it mission based, as it never did fit the series well.

PS4

Retrace: Memories of Drath

This looked like an interesting horrific tale to me. Unfortunately, I haven’t had a chance to even try it. If anyone wants to see what it’s about though, I’ll link to the Playstation Store page.

PS5

House Flipper 2

Yes, I did just buy this back in December on Steam, but I really wanted to play on the PS5 because it’s just fun. I’m nowhere near where I was on my other file, but I just bought my first house to flip so that’s exciting. These games are a lot of fun, and can be addicting too. Totally recommend it if you enjoy customizing and designing.

Whacking Hell

This has been a great roguelite bullet hell. It isn’t very long, but I honestly don’t wish to say too much since I have this neat review that is worth looking at.

Garten of BanBan

I didn’t know too much about this when I bought it, just that it was a horror game. Well, it’s a series of them anyway, that apparently originated on mobile. I’m not far in, but I definitely like the atmosphere, and the fact it takes places in a school is nice and creepy.

Anomaly Pool

I’m not sure why I really wanted this one, but the idea behind it seemed alright. You’re running laps around an indoor pool area, trying to avoid the water and also the crazy girl who chases you. She’ll stop running if you keep your eye on her, but you also need to watch for the anomalies that pop up. If you manage to see them all, you clear the game.

Miscellaneous

Digivice Tamagotchi

A good friend of mine got two of these while on vacation, and we did a trade for me to have one. It’s a pretty neat device, and is similar to all other Tamagotchis if you’ve ever owned one. Taking care of the Digimon allow them to Digivolve, and then you can even put them against other people if you’re local.

Final Words

There were not too many pickups this month, but enough to be happy with. I can already say that August will be an interesting one, but more on that on a later date. Catch you all later.
