We have a nice batch of games hitting the Switch systems this week. Some of which I’ll end up buying at some point. Anyway, let’s get into this week’s Switch & Switch 2 games releasing this week.
Dispatch

Price: $29.99
Systems: Switch & Switch 2
Release Date: 1-28
“Dispatch is a superhero workplace comedy set in modern day Los Angeles from the writers and directors of Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us, and features an all-star cast including Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, and Jeffrey Wright.
You play as Robert Robertson, AKA Mecha Man, whose mech-suit is destroyed in a battle against his nemesis, forcing him to take a job at a superhero dispatch center: not as a hero, but a dispatcher.
As their dispatcher, you take charge of a team of ex-supervillains given a shot at redemption. Manage and level up your roster, all while navigating office relationships and romances, and rebuilding your suit for a shot at revenge!”
The hit game everyone has been talking about finally lands on the Switch systems. Personally, I can’t bring myself to play it since they’re releasing it in seasons and I really despise that type of pattern personally. I either want to play the complete, finished game or not at all.
Maid of Salvation

Price: $14.99
System: Switch
Release Date: 1-28
“The latest title from the HunterX development studio, Maid of Salvation is an action RPG that features fast-paced and versatile combat.
A Dark Fantasy of Maids
Shizuka, a maid of purgatory, fights to bring salvation to lost souls. Entrusted with a special mission from the Sanctuary’s Overseer, she crosses the portal into a Purgatory overrun by Fiends. Yet as her journey unfolds, Shizuka begins to realize that the salvation she believed in—and the truth of this world—is far more twisted than she ever imagined…”
This caught my eye and well, I think I’ll grab it in the near future. Not sure if I’l do it right away, despite the current sale price ($11.24) but eventually.
Grid Legends: Deluxe Edition

Price: $39.99
System: Switch 2
Release Date: 1-29
“Become a racing legend on Nintendo Switch™ 2.
High-octane motorsport. Wheel-to-wheel rivalries. Edge-of-your-seat action.
Codemasters’ unique blend of arcade racing and precise simulation handling comes to Nintendo Switch 2, with pin-sharp visuals that leave the competition in the dust.
This Deluxe Edition is complete with all DLCs, and stacked with high-speed action from the starting grid to the chequered flag.”
I’m not too big on racing games. I usually pick and choose what series I play and what entries in said series. This is not one of those that I’ve even tried before but hey, neat to see another Switch 2 game.
The Perfect Pencil

Price: $24.99
System: Switch
Release Date: 1-29
“Lost in the kingdom of the white beast, will you find your way out? The Perfect Pencil is a story-driven action platformer that throws you into the innermost depths of the human mind.
The Perfect Pencil is a surreal action platformer which tells the tale of personal development and the psychology of fear. Join protagonist John as he awakens in a bizarre hand-drawn kingdom and comes face-to-face with the terrors that dwell in the last place he’d have thought to look…
Embark on an emotional odyssey exploring the depths of an unfamiliar environment using protagonist John’s innate ability to see things that others can’t. Make choices that will compel you to carve your own personal route through both light and darkness, however, beware, things might not be as they seem.”
I’m not entirely sure what to make of this game but it looks interesting and colorful. Maybe it will be a great adventure.
Countless Army

Price: $9.99
System: Switch
Release Date: 1-29
“Be the villain in this Reverse Tower Defense. Send waves after waves of troops to break the enemy defenses.
Have you ever dreamed of being the villain in a Tower Defense?
Be the one who sends waves and waves of troops to break through the enemy defenses in this Reverse Tower Defense.
Summon, conquer and upgrade your troops to dominate the whole world!”
The idea behind this is different and I think that’s why I may give it a shot sometime.
Chrono Ark Deluxe Edition

Price: $39.99
System: Switch
Release Date: 1-29
“Chrono Ark, the deck-building roguelike RPG. Recruit companions with distinct personalities, build a party that maximizes skill synergies, and save the Twisted World!
Long ago, when the world was engulfed in black mist, the surviving humans escaped to the Ark.
There’s only one way to restore the world:
seek out the hidden Time Shades and activate the Clock Tower.
The Clock Tower will surely restore the world to a time of peace.
Awakening in the Twisted Land beneath the Ark,
Lucy finds she has no memories other than the words “Activate the Clock Tower”…
She joins forces with her companions and sets out in search of the Time Shades.”
I’ve had my eye on this over on Steam for a while but never took the plunge. I’m happy to see it come to the Switch now and bring in more players.
Our Burial Dolls Remastered

Price: $4.99
System: Switch
Release Date: 1-30
“They buried the dolls for us that night. But the story didn’t end with the soil.
The beloved classic returns in a remastered edition, featuring improved visuals and enhanced atmospheric presentation.
◆STORY
In Mitono, a remote mountain village with only a handful of households, every child must undergo a mysterious ritual known as Warawa-Tomurai. Sixth-graders Yuuma and Honoka take part in the ceremony just before the village begins to disperse.
Yuuma’s family soon moves to the city, while Honoka remains behind due to unforeseen circumstances. Separated, the two begin to uncover the secrets behind the ritual.
Within the sanctum where something inhuman resides, the children are drawn in—toward a painful fate.”
The fact that this game is only $5 really makes me want to grab it up. This is the type of game that is right up my alley so don’t be surprised when I get it.
Conclusion
Alright, that’s all for this entry. See any that you like? I’ll most likely get the last game I mentioned on release day or not long after. That’s all for this article. As usual, happy gaming!
