Well, this is certainly some very exciting news that none of us were prepared for. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance shadow dropped on the GameCube NSO. Pretty cool, right? Are you not familiar with this specific Fire Emblem title? no worries, I’ll catch you up to speed.

The History
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance first released on the Nintendo GameCube in 2005. Fire Emblem was still a pretty niche series back then, gaining popularity in 2013 with Fire Emblem: Awakening. The problem with this is that the game quickly became somewhat of a collector’s item since it wasn’t overly produced. So that leads us to…
How Much is an Original?
Well, if you go and check out Price Charting, you’ll see a loose copy goes for $154.94, a complete copy for $214.53 and a new copy going for $410.00. Now, if you go on eBay, you can find ones like (paid link) this, where the price is $180 for a loose copy and a CIB copy, like (paid link) this one where is it 215. It is worthy to note that the price can be a bit of everywhere, varying by the seller and condition.
NSO Expansion
It’s worth to say that you can only play this title as part of the expansion pack for Nintendo Switch Online, which is $50 for an individual and $79.99 for a family. Now I personally bought the family pack for my needs but to each their own of course. On top of getting GameCube titles, you’ll also be able to play Gameboy Advance and Nintendo 64, with titles like Banjo Kazooie. Unfortunately still no Donkey Kong 64 but maybe one day.
Conclusion
Do you already have the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion? Does this make you want to run out and upgrade yours? I’m happy to have the option, given I don’t have an original not had any plans to buying one soon. Still, happy that others will be happy with this. Anyway, that’s it for this article. Happy gaming everyone!
