I love farming sims, although I don’t discuss them much here. That’s about to change with some Stardew Valley content coming your way but anyway, I’ve been keeping up with this for a bit. I’m not sure if it’s worth the sale price or not but it still isn’t a bad cut from the original.

Crow Country

Sale Price: $9.99

Original Price: $19.99

System: Switch

Sale Ends: 12-25

“The year is 1990. It’s been two years since the mysterious disappearance of Edward Crow and the abrupt closure of his theme park, Crow Country.

But your arrival has broken the silence, Mara Forest. If you want answers, you’ll have to venture deep into the darkness of Crow Country to find them…

A survival horror game, where you’ll test yourself against puzzles and riddles as you investigate the eerie tranquility of the abandoned theme park. Don’t be deceived by the whimsical surroundings, something is awfully wrong in Crow Country.

As you unlock new areas, backtrack and discover more, you gradually piece together why Edward really shut down his park and where he mysteriously disappeared to. You’ve heard some pretty disturbing rumors, but they couldn’t possibly be true…..right?

For visitors to the park who are more interested in spotting crows and taking in the sights, Exploration Mode allows you to journey on without the fear of being attacked by the mysterious monsters roaming Crow Country. Besides, if you knew what those monsters really are…..

Just how far would someone go to follow their ambition? Are some sins too wicked for redemption?

A tale of reckless hubris and human greed, and now at the center of it all… you.

Who are you really, Mara Forest?”

Nintendo

Old school horror? Resident Evil vibes? Yes please. I’ve talked about this game before but I still haven’t bought it. This is the cheapest I’ve seen it go to date that I’m aware of. Might be time to snatch it up.

I played this on Steam a few years ago. I never beat it but I had a great time and plan to replay to write a review. However, after 30 some hours, I can say this is worth way more than $2 so you better grab this deal while you can.

The Letter: A Horror Visual Novel

Sale Price: $6.99

Original Price: $19.99

“To what ends will one go in order to survive?

When seven people fall prey to a vicious curse, they discover that the true threat rests not within the shadows, but within their own hearts and minds. The Letter: A Horror Visual Novel is an interactive horror-themed drama inspired by classic Asian horror films. Told through an immersive branching narrative, the game casts players in the ever-shifting roles of seven characters as they find themselves entangled in a mystery that’s plagued Ermengarde Mansion for centuries.

The choices you make will shape and drive the story forward. Will you mend a relationship on the verge of collapse, or will you let it fall apart? Will you risk saving someone despite the consequences you could face or leave them to meet a gruesome end? Beyond the horror themes of The Letter: A Horror Visual Novel, there is heavy emphasis on character development and interaction. The fate of each of these individuals is in your hands.”

First got introduced to this by Eric Van Wilderman doing a let’s play. The game looks really good and I never saw the finished product. Worth the price for sure.

Nintendo

This looks very much like an RPG Maker game, which has produced some great titles such as Mad Father and Ib, so it very well might be worth checking out.

Nintendo

I don’t play many visual novels but this looks pretty good. Granted, you probably should read some reviews first since I know very little to nothing about this game.

Conclusion

Are you going to grab any of these Switch and Switch 2 games on sale? I think I will be since some are pretty cheap and look good for the cost. I guess you will just have to read my December game pickups when I publish that. In the meantime, check out the Games I’m Playing with the new entry I posted today and as usual, happy gaming!
