That time again to go over some PS5 games on sale. The article I wrote for last week still has all of its games on sale too, so definitely check that out! Let’s get started.
The Midnight Walk

Sale Price: $23.99
Original Price: $39.99
Sale Ends: 11-5
“Embark upon The Midnight Walk in this reverent dark fantasy adventure built in clay, from the minds behind Lost in Random, Fe and Ghost Giant.
Become The Burnt One, befriend a lost lantern creature named Potboy, and use his flame to light your way through a conflicting world of wonder and horror. Survive and outsmart the many monsters eager to devour your little friend’s flame as you experience five tales of fire and darkness, featuring an incredible cast of odd characters.
Marvel at every disturbing detail in a landscape painstakingly handcrafted with real life clay and animated in a stop motion style. Fully playable both on PS5 and in VR – with PS VR2.”
I had an interest in this since the first trailer. I’m yet to pick it up for myself but I think this is a solid deal when compared to the original price. Nearly half off and if you have a (paid link) PSVR 2 headset, you’re only enhancing your experience.
Control: Ultimate Edition

Sale Price: $5.99
Original Price: $39.99
Sale Ends: 11-5
“Control Ultimate Edition contains the main game and all previously released Expansions (“”The Foundation”” and “”AWE””) in one great value package.
Experience true next-generation gaming with increased visual fidelity through 4K graphics, ray-tracing and a 60fps Performance mode.
A corruptive presence has invaded the Federal Bureau of Control…Only you have the power to stop it. The world is now your weapon in an epic fight to annihilate an ominous enemy through deep and unpredictable environments. Containment has failed, humanity is at stake. Will you regain control?
Winner of over 80 awards, Control is a visually stunning third-person action-adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Blending open-ended environments with the signature world-building and storytelling of renowned developer, Remedy Entertainment, Control presents an expansive and intensely gratifying gameplay experience.”
So I’ve tried to play this game three times and gotten decently in each round. It’s a fun game and for $6? You’ll get way more than your money’s worth. I also would like to mention that this game and (paid link) Alan Wake share the same universe, if you didn’t know.
Scorn

Sale Price: $9.99
Original Price: $39.99
Sale Ends: 11-5
“Scorn is an award nominated atmospheric horror adventure set in a nightmarish universe.
It is designed around the idea of “being thrown into the world”. Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world, you will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion. The unsettling environment is a character itself.
Every location contains its own theme (story), puzzles and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive world. Throughout the game you will open up new areas, acquire different skill sets, weapons, various items and try to comprehend the sights presented to you.”
I’ve been curious about this since the first time I saw it. Still, I haven’t tried it yet but for $10, this might be a great chance to do so.
Layers of Fear

Sale Price: $14.99
Original Price: $29.99
Sale Ends: 11-5
“The canvas awaits its final brushstrokes. The stage calls for its lead actor. The novel needs its final chapter. It’s time to face your fears. One. Last. Time.
The series that defined narrative-focused first-person psychological horror is back to tell its last spine-chilling story with Layers of Fear. The series’ crowning work is the definitive way to experience the critically acclaimed franchise as it features Layers of Fear and Layers of Fear 2, as well as all DLCs (including the new ‘The Final Note’ DLC that will give you a new perspective on the Layers of Fear storyline) and the never-before-told story of The Writer, which will tie everything together. Built on Unreal Engine 5, Layers of Fear supports Ray Tracing, HDR and 4K resolution to make the stunning visuals, and your nightmarish experience, as immersive and realistic as possible.”
I’ve played the original Layers of Fear but I never played the second. I can’t speak for how that specific game is but the first was a great experience definitely worth your time.
Clock Tower: Rewind

Sale Price: $9.99
Original Price: $19.99
Sale Ends: 11-5
“Turn back the clock for one of the pioneers of the survival-horror genre. Translated and released outside of Japan for the first time, Clock Tower: Rewind is a revival of the terror-inducing 16-bit classic that dares you to explore the haunting confines of the Barrows family manor. As teenage orphan Jennifer, you must search every disturbing corner to find items, reveal secrets, and discover ways to evade Scissorman, a murderous, unstoppable, shears-wielding psychopath.
Play Original mode to experience Clock Tower as it was when initially released in 1995, or play Rewind mode with extra content and improvements. Additional features include a new animated intro, opening and ending vocal theme songs, motion comics, creator interview, art gallery, border artwork, save states, and a music player. The clock is ticking…can you survive?”
I bought this sometime ago for a different system, but didn’t play much before I shelved it. Well, I can at least say that this is so worth $10 for a classic. The controls are a bit awkward at first but they’re fun after you get used to them.
Conclusion
Will you pick any of these up? I might but you’ll have to wait until the next pickup article to find out. That’s all for this article.
Until next time, happy gaming.
