Amazon (paid link)

I haven’t played either of these titles on the past and have sort of stayed away from the Harvest Moon series after the original creators left and started making the (paid link) Story of Seasons titles. However, I have been toying with the idea of trying again, so perhaps this will be the one.

Nintendo

Lollipop Chainsaw RePop came out of left field for me. I was not expecting them to bring the game back but here we are. Now I already own it, but this is a pretty good deal for all you get.

Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland

Everyone’s favorite babies are back in action! When Tommy, Chuckie, Phil and Lil see a commercial for the new Reptar video game, they pretend that they’re in a video game of their own. Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland can be played solo, or team up with a friend for some two-player co-op fun!”

Nintendo

I’ve almost bought this game a handful of times. As someone who grew up with the Rugrats show and played a couple of the games as a kid, I look at this game as a nostalgia trip. Maybe I’ll buy this and play it soon, so keep an eye on my Games I’m Playing articles for that. Also, if physical copies are more for you, Amazon (paid link) has those.

Nintendo

I’ve played Forager across a few different platforms. It is an amazing and fun title, addictive and keeps you learning the rules of the game. There’s also different modes to try outside of the normal playthrough.

Lumo

Sale Price: $1.99

Original Price: $19.95

“A true love letter to the golden age of gaming!

Witness the rebirth of a genre in Lumo – a classic isometric adventure with a modern twist for gamers young and old alike!

A modern take on the long-lost isometric platform genre, Lumo can be enjoyed by anyone looking for an absorbing, challenging and rewarding adventure. But for those who lived through the golden age of videogames – the 80s and early 90s – or know about the games and culture from that time, layer upon layer of nods, winks and touches to those times help build upon an experience that’s as heart-warming as it is exciting!

With over 400 rooms across four unique zones, six hidden mini-games and all kinds of secrets to uncover, Lumo is a true voyage of discovery. How much you discover just depends on how hard you look…”

Nintendo

I know I tried this game a few years back on the PS Vita, but I never made it very far. This is a steal at that price though, so perhaps it is worth a try now.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water

Sale Price: $27.99

Original Price: $39.99

Sale Ends: 10-2

“FATAL FRAME: Maiden of Black Water” comes to Nintendo Switch™ for the first time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the horror-adventure series FATAL FRAME.

[The Story]

Mt. Hikami was once revered as a spiritual place.

It housed a unique religion based on beliefs and customs of worshipping water as a deity and is said to have been a site of many gruesome incidents and mysterious phenomena.

This mysterious and intertwined story follows three protagonists—Yuri Kozukata, Miu Hinasaki, and Ren Hojo—as each of them explores the ominous Mt. Hikami, a place where many came to die, and the secrets it hides.

[Gameplay]

Players use Camera Obscura, a special camera capable of repelling vengeful ghosts and sealing away their powers, to explore Mt. Hikami and the numerous incidents that took place there in the past.

The story is divided into separate missions, and each mission is led by a new protagonist.
In addition to sealing the evil spirits that attack you, Camera Obscura can be used to reveal other things that can’t be seen with the human eye and will help in the recovery of lost items.”

Nintendo

If I haven’t made it extremely obvious, I am a big fan of the Fatal Frame series. Maiden of Black Water is a great entry and can be offered as a nice starting point. I did a review for Fatal Frame II & Fatal Frame IV a couple of years ago and hope to review this one too at some point given I just bought it in July.

Conclusion

Will you be buying any of these? I might be so be on the lookout for my next game pickup article. Don’t forget to check out this week’s What I’m Playing article as well and until next time, happy gaming.
