We are less than a month away from the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct and I’m sure we are all asking the same questions. How much will it be? What games will be on it? So forth and so on. Well, we are also curious about where and when we can pre-order it. I’ve got good news. It appears as if Best Buy will be opening their Switch 2 pre-orders soon.
Why do I believe this? Just a couple of days ago, they made a Facebook post that went like this:
“It’s-a Mario Day! Celebrate by gearing up for the next level of gaming with the Nintendo Switch 2. To learn more about pre-order, upcoming games and more, sign up ➡️: https://bby.me/oxj5wt.”
Now we know that the Direct is soon, April 2nd, so it’s inevitable that retailers begin to allow pre-orders. However, the way Best Buy worded this made it sounds pretty soon, perhaps even before the next showing?
Price?
This is a big question a lot of people have, including myself. I also already talked about this already in my article of where to sign up in January for the Switch 2 pre-orders. I’m still sticking with my original thoughts of it being $399. I could be wrong but I’m planning to get one upon release day. Here’s hoping that’s doable.
Final Thoughts
While we may very well be waiting u til after the Direct to learn anything, I’ll be keeping my eye on Best Buy after this. I’m sure a lot of us want to get this system on launch and I hope Nintendo will take the appropriate steps to stop as many scalpers as possible. I suppose time will tell.
