Ah yeah, more books that I won’t read in a year! I’m just kidding, I’ve actually already read one of these and it was a real heart puller.. Let’s march on and discuss this book haul.

You’ve Reached Sam
“Seventeen-year-old Julie Clarke has her future all planned out―move out of her small town with her boyfriend Sam, attend college in the city; spend a summer in Japan. But then Sam dies. And everything changes.
Heartbroken, Julie skips his funeral, throws out his belongings, and tries everything to forget him. But a message Sam left behind in her yearbook forces memories to return. Desperate to hear him one more time, Julie calls Sam’s cell phone just to listen to his voice mail recording. And Sam picks up the phone.
The connection is temporary. But hearing Sam’s voice makes Julie fall for him all over again and with each call, it becomes harder to let him go.
What would you do if you had a second chance at goodbye?”

I’ve talked about this book plenty in my review, so I’ll keep this short. You’ve Reached Sam is an amazing story that will make you cry a new ocean and experience a heart shattering experience. I highly recommend it.
Hyde House
“The gang is prepared this time. Emmie and Sarah have trained their psychic skills, Finn is a little wiser, and they’re ready for the worst. But if a looming menace gets its way, they’ll be dead within days.
While exploring Emmie’s basement, Finn makes a gruesome discovery hidden behind a wall that shakes them to the core—a woman’s corpse. And it’s obvious she was murdered.
But Alice isn’t talking, and the ghosts of the past elude the gang until they meet a mourning father whose daughter suffered the same ghastly fate. But his insight comes with a warning.
“Watch yourself, because they’ll be watching you.”
Driven to help the victims and find peace for Alice, they soon realize they’ve stumbled into a deadly game of twisted voodoo, and there’s no turning back.
Frantic to escape the expanding web of deception, they’re forced to face their deepest fears within the quaint stillness of Hyde House.”

I’m currently about 100 pages into this book, and loving every minute. It’s taken a couple of different turns than what I had been expecting, but positive ways. I’m currently writing a review for the 2nd book, Caine House, so be on the lookout for that. In the meantime, you can read my review for the first book, Hanging House.
Dragon’s Oath
“In early 19th century England, long before he’s a professor at the Tulsa House of Night, Bryan Lankford is a troublesome yet talented human teen who thinks he can get away with anything… until his father, a wealthy nobleman, has finally had enough, and banishes him to America. When Bryan is Marked on the docks and given the choice between the London House of Night and the dragon-prowed ship to America, he chooses the Dragon – and a brand new fate.
Becoming a Fledgling may be exciting, but it opens a door to a dangerous world…. In 1830’s St. Louis, the Gateway to the West, Dragon Lankford becomes a Sword Master, and soon realizes there are both frightening challenges and beautiful perks. Like Anastasia, the captivating young Professor of Spells and Rituals at the Tower Grove House of Night, who really should have nothing to do with a fledgling…
But when a dark power threatens, Dragon is caught in its focus. Though his uncanny fighting skills make him a powerful fledgling, is he strong enough to ward off evil, while protecting Anastasia as well? Will his choices save her–or destroy them all?”

This acts as a prequel to the House of Night series. I haven’t touched this book, so that’s about all I am able to say about it.
Final Words
I’m happy that I am ready consistently again, and am able to share these type of blogs with you as well. With October fast approaching us, I would like to remind everyone that only horror related content will be posted for the entirety of the month.
Happy reading everyone.
