We start off in a classroom, watching Akane, Suzuka, Nemu and Noa enjoying some cookies. They begin to discuss Noa’s upcoming birthday and plans for going out together. Nemu seems not too thrilled with this idea, but agrees anyway.
The game skips to Nemu discussing being in pain, in some room…

She begins to talk about a diary that she plans to give to Noa. Then proceeds to talk to herself about cutting Noa up but also making herself hurt as well.
Noa comes in the pictures and started to talk about Noa being kind…oh what she doesn’t know…run!!
Or don’t…
Akane skips her school work to buy party poppers and Suzuka mentions something about telling everyone something she just can’t forget, which sounds juicy.
Noa arrives at Nemu’s house and goes inside with her, giving us our first glance at the exploration portion of the game.

Gift Exchange
Noa gives Nemu the lasagna she made for her while Nemu gives the diary that she mentioned earlier. Noa seems quite happy with this. After that, we get a quick tutorial on exploring, and how to inspect items we find.
Hitting Y opens up a small “pause” menu where you can open the diary with memos, which are blanket currently. Next to that is the inventory and then options. I assume the memos will be of items we find maybe or other events that occur as we look around.

After some snooping around, I find a picture of Noa that she doesn’t recognize. She notices that the girl beside her in the photo has been scratched out, and when she mentions this to Nemu, she pulls a knife on her….oh…
Nemu starts telling her that the person in the photo really is Noa, and accuses her of talking behind her back…for some reason. Then…she stabs her.

Nemu starts to speak of betrayal. When Noa tries to say that she thought of Nemu as a true friend, Nemu goes hysterical and starts saying “liar!” over and over again.
The First Death
As Noa dies, time is reversed and we’re back at the start of entering Nemu’s house, when Nemu mentions that Noa is only the 2nd person to enter her room.
Noa remembers what just happened and realizes she is holding the diary, that she shouldn’t have yet because she just gave over the lasagna. Upon opening the diary, we find…
Nothing
So…how am I going to die this time? Let’s find out.
Going back over to the desk allows us to pick the same photograph up, which prompts Noa to freak out. She tells Nemu to stop, which makes Nemu pause for a moment before repeating about believing Noa was a true friend and then….she stabs her, again.
Something about Noa tricking her…but I don’t quite get the picture yet. Time rewinds, again. After a similar interaction, we can control Noa and pick up the picture once more.
(Seriously, can we get somewhere else please? Talking to the gaming gods here!)
Ohhh, okay. So Noa decides to not discuss the photo, but instead, tells Nemu she is in the loop and then alerts her to being aware she has a knife. Can I run away this time? Please…

Noa finally just asks Nemu why she wants to kill her, and…we die again…NOA, CAN YOU STOP TALKING AND RUNNNNN!!!!
This girl…I swear….

Dear Diary
Finally, Noa realizes she must do something and she is putting together that the Diary is the key to something. What exactly? Not sure yet. Time has looped back.
Well…she tried to tear it, thinking it started the time loop, but she can’t….although why you would tear the very item you think is keeping you from truly dying, I do not know.
Thankfully, this time around, we can interact with more objects! After looking at a few, Nemu moves away from the door and we can run outside to the living room. This doesn’t do much, since Nemu starts questioning what we are doing, but we get to leave her bedroom and enter the kitchen.
Noa has the bright idea to call someone, but she has no service and then Nemu says her phone can’t be used either. How convenient…after some talk about Noa being quiet, and asking why, Noa lies and says it is due to nerves. Nemu offers for them to play a game, one she specifically made up just for her…..
A Safe?
She shows Noa a safe, saying she should try to guess the numbers to open it. Then, she mentions there are clues in the room they’re in. We are free to explore the room for codes afterwards.

There’s a sheet of paper in the box with XX48, which I assume are the last two numbers to the safe. Exploring the plant offers a torn sheet of paper, but I’m not sure if they’re significant to the code or not.
I tried the code, 5748, which the code 57 was mentioned on the other paper and yes, it did open! We got a pen, which apparently came with the diary….hmmm.
It doesn’t actually write, Noa tried that, and then Nemu basically forces us back into her room to show us something we “definitely need to see” which doesn’t sound good…at all.
Noa First?
Nemu actually says we can go in First and wait for her. That’s concerning, but Noa notices a piece of wallpaper that’s peeling and mentions there is something behind it…
Holy crap, stalker!!
There are TONS of pictures of Noa behind that wallpaper…this turned out to be the surprise that Nemu had for us. She comes in and starts talking about being so happy that Noa started talking to her, but then goes back to the betrayal crap that I still don’t understand. Something about being lied to.
Oh and…here goes a chase. The diary starts to glow, and when we open it…there’s a new memo!!
If we read the memos, we can actually transport back in time to when the words were spoken! Okay, that’s a pretty nifty trick.
Until Next Time….
I know, how cruel of me to end this when we just got to the good part. Atlas, this blog has gone on a tad too long, so…look forward to the next part where we hopefully get more information and see a lot more action!! Thank you for reading SDL let’s play part 1.
