Alright, I have to talk about this game. This wonderful, addicting, slightly chaotic, game. I grabbed it on April 14th and have been playing every day since. I’m now closing in on 9 hours worth a playtime, and now I’ve come to discuss my Cult of the Lamb addiction.

The Beginning

You start off a humble little lamb, up for slotter. Upon your death, you are given life anew by a fallen Bishop, and tasked with starting a cult under his rule and guidance. You’re given the Red Crown, symbolism of his mark, and you must now find followers, amongst so much more. Everything starts off pretty basic.

Have a follower or two, found during crusades (dungeon runs essentially), then you build them beds to sleep in, and cook then food with ingredients you find. It moves on from there to farming, holding sermons to get devotion from your followers to unlock new weapons, and to also keep the faith up.

Along with faith, which you have to manage, you also have to take care of the cult’s hunger levels and sickness. Basically, there is a lot to manage within this game between doing crusades, managing your cult, and doing side quests too.

How It Is Going…

At this stage in the game, I have defeated 3/4 Bishops, and currently working my way to the 4th. My Cult has 20 or so followers, and I have unlocked all weapons available. I’m still working on the buildings, but all in good time.

Side quests are a different story, and are hit or miss. Some I do within the time-frame, some I simply just don’t finish Then the ones that don’t have a timer, I do when I want to. So far, I mostly just focus on building the Cult and doing crusades.

Final Words

If you have any interest in Animal Crossing or rogue-likes, this is probably a game worth checking out. With a mixture of action and a bit of community aspects to balance, you’ll be in for a fun time. If interested, Amazon has copies for the (paid link) standard and the (paid link) deluxe version too.
