July came and went. August seems to be moving right along quick as well. So, let’s not waste time and let’s discuss the games I played in my July 2026 recap. As usual, check our the previous month’s, June’s, as well. Let’s begin.
Summer Pockets Reflection Blue
System: Steam

After watching the Summer Pockets anime and realizing it is indeed a visual novel, I waited patiently for a sale on Steam. I ended up getting the bundle that has the original Summer Pockets game plus Reflection Blue. I’m not very far, still in the prologue but it’s been real fun seeing the characters again and knowing an expanded story is waiting for me.
The Shell Part 1
System: Steam
Playtime: Unknown
I watched Eric Van Wilderman play this about ten years ago when it was still only known as Kara no Shoujo. I’m currently within the beginning scenes as I haven’t had a lot of time to focus on it. Hoping that changes soon since I so want to see it all again and finally get back to the series.
Pokemon Sapphire
System: GBA
Playtime: 5 Hours & 5 Minutes
I’ve just been playing this at a slow pace to pass the time when needed. On a good note, 3/5 of my Pokemon are at the target level 20 I had in mind so I’m close to moving on with the game.
Super Columns
System: Game Gear
Playtime: Unknown
I’ve had a great time with Super Columns. I’ve played a lot of Endless Mode. Story mode I have managed to get to the third match but lost pretty bad. Still have a lot to learn and to hone my skills but the game is great for anyone who enjoys a good puzzle game! If curious, not only is there (paid link) Super Columns but there is also simply (paid link) Columns, which I also plan to buy in the near future.
Castle of Illusion
System: Game Gear
Playtime: Unknown
This was a big reason I even wanted the Sega Game Gear to begin with. I understand there was a remake for this game that I could have easily grabbed for cheap on Steam, but the entire series lives on this system. So here I am and am I enjoying it? Absolutely! Though I haven’t gotten very far. I did reach a boss in the woods stage.
Digimon Survive
System: Switch
Playtime: Unknown
Okay so I know it’s been almost a year since I wrote my review for this game and hey, I thought I was done playing the (paid link) game too. However, I wanted to go back and just see a few scenes and enjoy the story again. The game is different than the traditional RPG the series has fallen into since (paid link) Cyber Sleuth, so I’m just enjoying my time with it. If you want, check out these tips I wrote.
Digimon Up
System: Android
Playtime: Unknown
At the time I’m writing this, I started with everyone else on July 15th and to be honest, I’m a very slow player. I know it’s supposed to be idle but I have a big problem just setting it down and letting it go. I am giving it an attempt though. So, I’m currenly at Tamer level 82 with a level 99 Digimon and a level 3.
Digimon Time Stranger

I’m currently about to meet Merukimon for the first time. So in terms of story, I’ve hardly made a dent. I’m having fun though, replaying it and just enjoying my trip. Here’s my team so far:
