It’s been a while. A whole month in fact since my last update. There’s been a lot going on that had me questioning what I should and should not be writing but thankfully, I’ve decided these updates of Games I’m Playing are too fun to skip out on. So, with that said, since the last update…
I did review Stardew Valley. I decided I got to a comfortable point where I felt I had done everything I wanted to do and thus, cut myself off from it. I also have ventured to new games, surprising, I know. With that said, I feel I have a lot to share so let’s get started.
Resident Evil Requiem
System: Switch 2

I’ve competed three playthroughs and still going at it. I’m currently at my second attempt of a speedrun, which is going very well. I’ve actually been following this Reddit page, which offers a very helpful guide for the entire game. I’m staying about a minute behind where he is but it’s working so far.
I plan to write out some tips when I finish and I also have some tips for your first playthrough coming this week. Make sure to check out the review too, since that was published last week. It was for the (paid link) Switch 2 version.
Fatal Frame II Crimson Butterfly Remake
System: Switch 2
Playtime: 47 Minutes
I’m currently in chapter 2, just starting out. I am playing on story mode, just to learn how the remake plays and to enjoy my time. I’ll go through a 2nd playthrough on a higher difficulty after I write the review. I’m currently playing on the (paid link) Switch 2 version but it is also available on Steam and (paid link) PS5 as well. Balatro

I’ve been having a great time with this fame again. I’ve done more and better than I did with my first attempt on Steam. I plan to write a review in the near future after I unlock one more deck.
Pokopia

It’s pretty amazing how many people are loving this game right now, myself included. I’m not very far, still working on getting the Pokemon Center back up but I did welcome 3 new Pokemon last I played. It’s a lot of fun and I love to explore. Finding new spots or new habits is always a joy.
Resident Evil 2 Remake
System: Steam Deck
Playtime: Unknown
I’m not very far. I started with Leon’s story and I just met officer Branagh, receiving my uniform. Now I’m off to get the medallions, which I did cheat for the lion one since I just saw that puzzle in Resident Evil Requiem. I’m really, really hyped to play this. I have an original (paid link) PS1 copy but wanted to see the remake in full.

That’s all for this week. I’m off to a good start with RE2 I believe and I can’t wait to see more of Fatal Frame. I’m almost in disbelief every time I get the game in my hands just because one of my favorite titles got a remake. Anyway, do stick around for future articles and as always, happy gaming!
