If you haven’t seen the news, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is getting a free update. What for exactly and what comes with it? That’s why I’m here. Let’s break it down.
Switch 2
No, this is not an exact Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Switch 2 version but it is an update that includes smoother graphics and quicker load times. Nothing to complain about, am I right? I never finished the game, I got stuck near the end, so maybe this will be my chance to return.
Dixie Is Back!
Yep, you read that right. Up until now, only Diddy was available to play as DK’s partner but now we have Dixie too. Dixie has been around for quite some time, since (paid link) Donkey Kong Country 2 so I’m very pleased personally since I used her a lot in (paid link) Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.
Game Share
This is probably helpful for some people, if they would prefer to play this way. Now you can game share with someone else if you both have a (paid link) Nintendo Switch or a (paid link) Nintendo Switch 2. I’ll probably try this out for myself in the near future, just to see how it goes.
