Hey everyone, so if you’ve been playing Pokemon Legends Z-A, there may have been some slight confusion on some mechanics. For instance, what we’re covering today like Plus Moves and Move Icons. I’m going to go over what each of these are and how to use them.

Also, do be sure to check out the tips I wrote for beginning players if interested. Alright, let’s get started.

Plus Moves

What are they and how do you use them? Both are simple to answer, though many players seem to have confusion. Plus Moves are when you essentially have a Pokemon “master” the move. Then you can press the literal plus button on your right Joycon to use a bar of Mega energy.

Plus Moves do more damage to enemy Pokemon than a regular move would. They’re essential in rogue Mega Evolution battles. Typically you would choose to Mega Evolve a Pokemon since all of their moves are automatically made plus moves but it’s an option.

Move Symbols

As you’ve played, I’m sure you may have noticed that moves have sifferent symbols. The X means a move will have no effect. A triangle tells you a move won’t be effective. The circle is telling you a move is neutral but works and then a circle with a dot inside means it is super effective. All of this is good to know if you’re getting into battles and aren’t sure about type advantages and disadvantages.

Conclusion

The game doesn’t do a great job at explaining any of this in my opinion. Its tutorials sometimes come way later than they should. Either of these surprise you? Did you figure it out already or have you be lost? Well, hopefully this has been of some help to you.
