If you haven’t heard, Nintendo has officially announced the new date for the Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders and also the price. I’m very happy to announce, for all of us, that the cost of the system is still $449.99 and the system with a bundled Mario Kart World bundle is $499.99. These are the original prices that were announced on April 2nd. As for the pre-orders themselves, there’s some news.
Who’s Doing Them?
As of right now, we know that Walmart, Target, Best Buy & GameStop are on board. I assume Amazon will too at some point, but there’s no word from them yet that I have seen. GameStop have said that they will be doing a midnight launch, which is pretty cool. I originally planned to order one online but I may check and try at the store.
I also would like to say that Best Buy also announced they will be doing a midnight launch as well, but this was before the pre-order date was delayed. Hopefully, they will stick to this. Target, on the other hand, has announced that pre-orders will go live at midnight Eastern Time. This is exciting news.
Any Games Available?
So at the moment, the only games I have seen available for pre-order are (paid links) Daemon X Machina Titanic Scion, Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma and Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar. Best Buy has some of the games on their store page, such as Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, Bravely Default Flying Fairy and some of the Nintendo Switch games that are getting Nintendo Switch 2 versions, but they aren’t available to pre-order yet. I’m sure it won’t be long before we can get them.
Conclusion
Will you be pre-ordering a Nintendo Switch 2? I most definitely will be and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I’ve already pre-ordered two of the games I mentioned above and I can’t wait to get them. While we are on the subject of the Switch 2 though, let’s also just be thankful the prices of the games haven’t changed either in all of this. Anyway, happy gaming everyone.
