I’ve played maybe a couple hours of the original game many years ago when I owned a copy. I’m yet to play this one but I’ve heard many positive remarks about it. I did play some of the Star Ocean First Departure R and really liked it.
Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos

Sle Price: $19.93
“The land of Anthos was a peaceful and harmonious land watched over by the Harvest Goddess and the Harvest Sprites, who protected the inhabitants of Anthos from natural disasters such as storms, earthquakes, and the like. However, one day about 10 years ago, Anthos experienced a severe volcanic eruption that threatened life on Anthos itself, and the Harvest Goddess and Harvest Sprites had to use all of their remaining power to keep the people and animals of Anthos safe. This left the different villages across the land blocked off from each other. Some unfortunate souls even got trapped outside their villages, and were unable to return… Believing that the separated villages and people would one day be reconnected, the Harvest Goddess sent out a bottle with a letter and a magic key, then fell into a deep sleep… Now, 10 years later, you have found the SOS the Harvest Goddess sent to the world in the form of a message in a bottle! With the help of your wacky inventor friend Doc Jr. and many others, it’ll be up to you to revive the Harvest Goddess and the Harvest Sprites, as well as reconnect all of the villages of Anthos with each other! Farm all around Anthos using Doc’s new and improved Expando-Farm! Easily move from place to place and farm everywhere from snowy mountains to beautiful beaches! Keep and raise different kinds of cows, chickens, and sheep in your barn! Find even more exotic animals to keep out in the wild of Anthos!”

I haven’t played a Harvest Moon game in quite some time and before there is any confusion, the game is not developed by the same team that did games prior on the GameCube, Wii, DS and such. However, for a price like that, it might be worth trying just to see how it goes. I think this could be a very relaxing Switch game on the go.
Cuisineer

Sale Price: $39.99
“Upon receiving a startling letter from her parents, the independent adventurer Pom swiftly returns home to Paell, only to find her parents gone and their beloved restaurant abandoned. Now left with mounting debts and a village in dire need of some fine cooking, Pom will have to delve into the deepest dungeons for the scarcest spices, rarest meats, and the most valuable vegetables she can find to keep her parents’ dream alive. Dive into dungeons and cook up a storm as adventurer-turned-restaurateur Pom when Cuisineer serves up its unique blend of cooking and combat on consoles. This roguelite/restaurant sim plates its enticing gameplay with fresh ingredients like new weapons, year-round festivals, a wardrobe feature, and more tasty inclusions that are sure to spice things up. The food-focused action challenges you to earn your dinner the hard way: by fighting it in a dungeon. Pursue adventure in the world outside Paell, wielding your cooking utensils against giant chickens, artillery shrimps, fire-breathing peppers, and other pesky perils, sipping boba tea along the way. Work with local artisans to customize your kitchen, and tailor your dining hall to the needs of loyal patrons eager to experience the rare recipes you’ve cooked up.”

I’ve talked about this game a few times, even saying how the Day One Edition may not be sticking around for very long and that may still be true. It’s worth grabbing at this discounted price if you like collector editions.
The game itself is very fun and enjoyable. Think of the game Moonlighter, only you’re getting ingredients for a restaurant, not a shop. There’s plenty of quests in this game and lots of fun to be had with designing your restaurant just the way you like it.
DreadOut 2

Sale Price: $29.99
“DreadOut 2 is a third-person horror adventure that draws inspiration from Indonesian folklore and urban legend. Play as Linda Meillinda, a high school student with supernatural power – the ability to sense and see ghosts. With the aid of her trusty smartphone, Linda must hunt the nightmarish spirits and dark forces that threaten not only her hometown, but all of mankind. This spine-chilling sequel expands on the cult hit original with all-new melee combat and a greater emphasis on exploration, making DreadOut 2 another compelling and terrifying addition to the horror genre.”

I have to confess that I have not played this game in its entirety or very much of it at all unfortunately. Although, I did play and beat the first DreadOut, which I wrote a review for and they released a remaster for it and Keepers of the Dark just in January. This is a great price for this title though, in my opinion.
If you’re a fan of the Fatal Frame series, this is a game you need to play. The main characters uses only cameras in the first game to expel ghosts. The second game has her use not only a camera but actual weapons. It’s slightly different than Fatal Frame in that sense, but it’s worth playing.
Persona 5 Tactica

Sale Price: $19.99
“An emotional uprising begins! After a strange incident, the Phantom Thieves wander into a bizarre realm where its citizens are living under tyrannical oppression. Surrounded by a military group named Legionnaires, they find themselves in grave danger until a mysterious revolutionary named Erina rescues them and offers an enticing deal in exchange for their help. What truth lies behind Erina and the deal she offers to the Phantom Thieves?”

If you haven’t finished (paid link) Persona 5, you may want to stay clear of this game since there are some story spoilers. However, if you’ve been waiting for a chance to jump in, here it is. Persona 5 Tactica is a strategy game set within the Persona 5 universe. You’ll be able to use your weapons and Persona to fight your way across maps, closing in for victory.
Final Words
These are only some of the Switch games you’ll find on sale. Romancing SaGa (paid link) is another, but I also wrote a whole article on that, so check it out. Will you be picking any of these up? If you do, I hope you have a grand time. Happy gaming!
