August has come and gone. I managed to play quite a few games, a lot of new ones for the site, so this should be fun! Before we hop in, make sure to go check on July’s Recap. Now, let’s get into this August 2026 recap.
Digimon World 3

System: PS1
Playtime: 2 Hours & 32 Minutes
I’m not as far into this as I had hoped I would be but I’m still making some progress. I’m currently in Seiryu City and about to go off searching for the leader of the gym. I haven’t played this in so long, it feels nice after so many years. Here are my Digimon stats so far:

Digimon Story Time Stranger

System: Switch 2
Playtime: 21 Hours & 24 Minutes
I’ve been putting a good chunk of time into this Digimon as I have found myself addicted to it once again. It’s just a lot of fun and I really enjoy repeatedly Digivolving my Digimon to see what new ones I can get filled in. I’m currently at Heat Cosmic and my team is:

As you can tell, I’ve unlocked Megas and have been having some fun with that. This team is entirely subject to change.
Gravity Rush

System: PS4
Playtime: 39 Minutes
I’m currently about to start episode 4. Even though I beat the (paid link) Vita version earlier this year and wrote a review, I really wanted to see how the (paid link) PS4 title played. It has not disappointed but it has served as a reminder to get back to the second game ASAP.
Pokemon LeafGreen

System: Switch
Playtime: 11 Hours & 3 Minutes
I have 4 badges, just got done with Lavender Town and doing some training for the gym in Fuchsia City or Saffron. I haven’t really decided which one I’m going for yet. I do have a bit of a team update though:

Kirby’s Epic Yarn

System: Wii
Playtime: 20 Hours & 24 Minutes
Currently sitting at 95% completion. There will be a review in the near future for this title. It’s a very different type of Kirby adventure but it’s pretty positive in my opinion.
Dead Nation

System: PS3
Playtime: Unknown
I’m in the middle of the trainyard following patent Zero’s trail. I don’t recall just how long the game is but I definitely feel like I’m getting closer to the end. May or may not be right but we’ll find out. My main weapon is still the rifle since it’s simply a beast at taking out zombies.
Tokyo Jungle

System: PS3
Playtime: Unknown
I’ve been playing all in survival and haven’t touched the story yet. However I plan to make that change soon as I have never actually experienced it before. If you have never played this game, you’re surviving as an animal of your choice in an apocalyptic Tokyo. It’s a ton of fun and a challenge. I’m currently playing as a Pomeranian but other animals are unlockable through missions.
Blue Reflection

System: Switch
Playtime: 1 Hour & 54 Minutes
Since I picked up (paid link) Blue Reflection Quartet on the (paid link) Switch, I hopped straight into the first game. I have some experience with it already but it’s been so long since I gave it a serious try. Now here we are again and I’m in interlude Her Stoke, – Different Strokes- and really enjoying it.
F.E.A.R.

System: PS3
Playtime: Unknown
I’m currently at Interval 6- Interception. I’m having an okay time with this but not as much as I would have hoped. I’m roughly 3-4 hours in and although I fully plan to see it through, I have some annoyances that I’ll be discussing when I do the review.
Conclusion
That’s all for this August 2026 recap. Make sure to go check out my August Game Pickups while you’re here! I’m hoping to make some great progress in these games in September and also get back to the games I wanted to beat as part of my 2026 goals. Until next time, happy gaming!
