May has come and gone in a flash. I, as usual, have jumped from game to game and now have to talk about them all, coherently….I feel bad for my readers sometimes. Anyway! Let’s get into this May 2026 recap!
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book

I’m currently in Underground. I was not expecting to have as much fun with this game as I am having. With the focus on exploration, I was worried I would grow bored but truthfully, the game is fantastic for all ages. I can’t wait to see more. You can buy your own copy (paid link) here!
Fire Emblem Awakening
System: 3DS

It’s been quite a while since I last played a Fire Emblem title, even longer since I played this specific title. I’ve played it a few times in the past and thought I would revisit for a review and for fun. I always enjoyed the conversations between units and also marrying them off. I’m currently on chapter 4, so still early on.

I tried to play this last year and unfortunately got stuck. I’m trying again from a fresh save file and I’m probably about halfway to where I was prior. If you haven’t seen much of this game, go check it out for sure.
Vampire Crawlers

I’m in Cappella Ultima trying to make it past the second floor. Unfortunately this has been a real struggle for me so I’m a bit at a loss now. Still, I’ll continue to try.
Pokemon LeafGreen

I’ve gotten 4 badges and have the Silph Scope so I just made it to the top of Lavender Town tower. I really don’t play this much so it will be a slow moving playthrough but that’s okay with me. Regardless of that, here is my team:

Resident Evil 0

Currently in the mansion after the train crash. It’s been a long time since I have attempted this game, despite playing it on and off since I was a kid. I’m definitely having a blast though and plan to stick to it until I finish.
Resident Evil 4

I’m in chapter 3 and now have to make it across the lake. I’m working my way there now but that’s where I last stopped. I’m enjoying my playthrough but I’ve also fell out of playing it so I may continue or put it on hold.
Resident Evil 8

I’m so close to finishing my Village of Shadows difficulty but unfortunately, I haven’t been able to get passed Chris’ part near the end. It’s quite frustrating. Hopefully one day soon, as I would enjoy getting the rest of the challenges too.
Resident Evil 8: Shadows of Rose

I was finally able to complete my playthrough and wrote my review for Shadows of Rose. The DLC wasn’t that bad and it deserves to be played at least once. I probably won’t be going back through again.

I’ve been playing this again for Leon Must Die or that was the original plan. What actually has happened is that I am now playing the base game and recording YouTube Shorts on our YouTube account and reels on our Facebook, Instagram & TikTok. You can find all that via the links.
