Following last week’s update, I’ve stuck to playing games that I wanted to play and not sticking to any particular set of them. How did it go? Well, I actually had a lot of fun so I think I’ll be keeping it this way. With that said, let’s begin with this week’s Games I’m Playing.
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
System: Switch

This is, you guessed it, the same classic tale (more or less) of the Christmas special we all know. Just released last year for Steam, (paid links) Switch, PS5 & Xbox Series X. I bought this as a gift for someone for Christmas and we started playing. Well, we’ve already beaten it too and thus bring us to…a review! That will be out sometime this week.
Xmas Survivors
System: Switch
Playtime: Unknown
This is, you guessed it, another roguelike auto-shooter. Not that I’m complaining because it’s actually a pretty decent one. I’m having a fun time with it. I’ve finally cleared the first of the four levels amd working on getting some upgrades along with the other weapons bought. Right now I’ve gotten. The revolver and shotgun. Two more of those to go. Oh and yes, you do play Santa blowing everything up.
Persona 3 Reload
System: Switch 2
Playtime: 1 Hour & 20 Minutes
I feel like I definitely did not make much progress with this. I haven’t had the time to play games as much this week and this got thrown to the back burner to be honest. I did make it through my first night in Tartarus though. Also, I just published an article about menu navigation, so look at that if you wish.
Harvestella
System: Switch
Playtime: Unknown
I’m still very early on, in chapter 2. I’m at the boss fight in Higan Canyon. It’s so much fun though and I enjoy the mix of farming life and RPG. I know plenty of other titles have done this too but there’s definitely something about this one.
Stardew Valley
System: Switch 2
Playtime: 17 Hours & 47 Minutes
I’ve made it to Winter and I am finally focusing more on upgrading my buildings. I’ve got the big coop and I have the big barn being built. I’ve already had to witch pass by my coop and gave me a void egg so I popped that in the incubator for a void chicken. It hasn’t hatched yet but soon. Other than that, I spent my last in game day cutting trees down for some wood. Great times so far and still loving it. I just published an article on ways to get coal too, so check that out along with my other beginner tips.
Digimon Story Time Stranger
System: Steam Deck
Playtime: 44 Hours & 58 Minutes
I’ve finally made it back to the Digital World! It does feel good playing this again. I’m actually getting quite close to Agent Rank 8, which will allow me to get Omnimon. Pretty excited about that. I just cleared the Factory area, all to originals missions that you get when you go there to start with.
Nicktoons and the Dice of Destiny
System: Switch 2
Playtime: 3 Hours & 55 Minutes
We’ve made it to the third world by now. I don’t want to give spoilers but the game is a lot of fun! I’ve been playing at Katara and my other player has been Spongebob. I’ll get more into how good this game is on a different day, but so far, I’m very happy with it.
