That day of the week again where I get to highlight some Switch & Switch 2 games releasing this week. Unfortunately we have another slow week but that’s to be expected a bit with the first of the year. As always, I tried to choose games I thought deserved attention and not include games that looked terrible. Let’s begin.

Van Life: Home Simulator

Price: $7.99

System: Switch

Release Date: 1-5

“Home Is Where You Park It.

Freedom comes with four wheels and a full tank of gas. Start with a dusty old van and turn it into your dream home—or flip it for profit and chase your next build. Whether you’re in it for the thrill of renovation or the call of the open road, this game lets you live the nomadic dream, no GPS required.

Explore a vibrant open world packed with hidden campsites, cozy lake views, and the occasional “did I take a wrong turn?” mountain trail. From serene forests to rugged backroads, every trip is its own story.

Customize every inch of your ride, pick your parking spot, and let the weather spice things up—from starry nights to soggy surprises. You can run a renovation empire, rent out vans to other wanderers, or just kick back by the fire and roast digital marshmallows.

No deadlines. No bosses. Just your van, your journey, and maybe a raccoon trying to steal your cooler.”

Nintendo

I’m not really sure if this is my cup of tea or not, but I figured someone out there might be interested

Gray War Conflict

Price: $9.99

System: Switch

Release Date: 1-5

“Every mission could be your last — are you ready?

Gray War Conflict is a gritty first-person shooter set deep within a hostile conflict zone — a remote war-torn forest where every step could be your last. As an elite special forces operative, your mission is clear: infiltrate enemy territory, eliminate threats, and survive.

Explore a vast mountain-forest region, scavenge for gear and supplies, and fight your way through enemy patrols using a wide range of modern weapons. From close-quarters combat to tactical long-range takedowns, every encounter is intense and unforgiving.”

Nintendo

I’m not entirely sure what to make of this one. We already have so many shooters on the market but I guess what’s the harm of one more? I may get it when it’s on a big sale at some point.

Fairy Tail: Dungeons

Price: $13.99

System: Switch

Release Date: 1-7

“Another tale of Fairy Tail, who fought for their comrades’ wishes…

Fairy Tail: Dungeons is a deck-building roguelike where you combine magic cards and outwit your enemies to win battles.
Players control Fairy Tail characters with diverse abilities and skills, exploring dungeons within a limited number of steps. Using decks built to suit their strategy, they defeat enemies that attack them, aiming to reach the deepest part of the dungeon.”

Nintendo

I’m not a Fairy Tail fan by any means, but I thought this looked pretty interesting at least. Someone out there will probably be excited for the release.

Mist

Price: $9.99

System: Switch

Release Date: 1-8

“After a crash in the mist, your daughter vanishes— you evolve, fight alien horrors, and uncover the fate of a dying Earth.

Your daughter is missing. The world is gone. Only the Mist remains.

In Mist, a devastating crash marks the beginning of your descent into a world lost to alien terror. As a father, you search desperately for your child—but what you find instead is a crumbling world buried in fog, crawling with monsters beyond comprehension.

This is no ordinary RPG. Mist fuses idle progression, visceral real-time combat, and an evolving horror narrative into a genre-defying experience. As you explore the ruins of civilization, you’ll form a pact with a mysterious alien being that grants you strength—at a cost. Level up, mutate, and unlock terrifying new abilities as you battle grotesque creatures and uncover long-buried truths.

But the world isn’t empty. Survivors remain—scarred, strange, and not always trustworthy. Your decisions in branching dialogue shape who lives, who dies, and what kind of person you become. Upgrade your idle harvesting machines, forge new weapons, and evolve into something far greater… or far more monstrous.

With each step, you draw closer to your daughter—and deeper into the Mist. Eight haunting regions await, filled with side quests, riddles, powerful enemies, and moral dilemmas. Can you hold on to your humanity when everything else is lost?

Mist is a bold mix of action, survival, and storytelling in a world where hope flickers like a dying light. Step into the fog—and face what waits within.”

Nintendo

When I first saw this, I thought it was a ripoff to the hit game and timeless classic Myst. It seems as though it is not and I even think I might be interested in playing it. Now I didn’t really watch much of the trailer, but I plan to before deciding to purchase or not.

Conclusion

That’s all we have for the week everyone. Like I said, not many but hey, some are interesting. Anyway, make sure to come back next week and I’ll see you later. Happy gaming!
