So instead of giving the core Pokemon fans what they want, the Pokemon Company continues to promote its mobile game slop. Albeit slop, these games tend to fill a niche that may fit your tastes. Let’s take a look at these announcements.

Pokemon Go – New Season

So the game that peaked in 2016 announced a new season of updates. It’s going to be the Unova region where you can catch the Black & White box legendaries. It will run between March 3rd to June 3rd 2025. So if you haven’t played this game since 2016 it might be a good time to revisit this series.

Pokemon Masters Ex – New Stories

The discretion of the grave known as the 3rd gen Pokemon games has happened. You can now face mega evolution Kyogre and Groudon in this gacha game via May & Brendan. The game has some nice cutscenes and occasionally features 3 v 3 battles. If you like to know a bit more about the characters in Pokemon and want to buy your victory, try this game out.

Pokemon Cafe – Outfit update

So the cutesy puzzle game/store simulator got a new event for a new menu item (Flapple/Appletun) to join your staff. Also there will be a few new Sweet outfits for Springatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly as well during this event starting Feb 28th.

There’s a new update to the game that likely is harvesting your sleep data for some kind of AI abomination. Not only can it record the annoying sleep talk you have, it can drain your phone battery since your phone had to open for it work unless you shell out for that $50 Pokémon accessory…..Good thing is Darkrai and Cresselia are in the game now for you to sleep alongside.

Pokemon Unite

A new update for Pokemon Unite has released in which you can play basketball in the Remoat Stadium. I wish it could further elaborate…..

Pokemon TCG

Instead of a physical slot machine, you can take your chances with a digital one. Mega Evolution is coming to game and now you might be finally able to play your Blue Eyes White Dragon alongside your Mega Evolution Lucario and Mega Evolution Gardevoir.

Pokémon Champions

Out of the announcements, this was likely the mobile game gamers would have the most interest in since it has the vibe of Pokemon Coliseum. Until it releases, stay tuned.

Pokémon Mobile games in general are niche but can be a great experience…….if you pay to play. The games are free to start, but to get the most out of them it’s going to cost ya.
