Let’s take a trip back to 2011, when Dead Space mobile hit phone stores, and then let’s discuss 2016, when the game became no longer available. Have you never heard of this? Well, don’t feel bad, I’m here to talk about it.

A Prequel to Dead Space 2
The game revolved around the protagonist Vandal, and shown how the outbreak on The Sprawl began. Although I have only seen this game played, and not experienced it for myself, it looked to operate how most phone games do, via touchscreen.
Here’s a video of some gameplay, to get a better idea.
The left side of the screen is for character control, and the right side is for the camera and also weapon usage.
Taken Off Stores
So for one reason or another, the game was taken off stores and there is no legitimate way to download the game. This makes it very hard to even play at this point, which is terribly sad for fans of the series who didn’t get to during its time of availability.
Is a Return Possible?
That’s a great question, and being totally honest, I have no clue. Up until this year, I didn’t think we would receive a (paid link) Dead Space remake, but we sure did, so perhaps? Though I would prefer if they released it on console this time and not mobile.
Even put it on Steam with Steam Deck compatibility and I would be happy at that point. Price point could be $15-20, which is decently priced for the upgrades they would hopefully do.
Closing Thoughts
Whether we ever see Dead Space mobile again or not is beyond me, but I certainly hope we do. It’s sad to think it may be forever lost to time, and with no way to get it. I’m not even talking about legally, I haven’t even found a sketchy download either. That’s probably a good thing in some ways, but atlas, this game might stay buried and lost forever.
Thanks so much for coming by and reading, hopefully you’re leaving more informed than before. I did a review for the Dead Space Remake that I encourage everyone to go read.
