For a quick recap, Light Brigade is a rogue-like VR title, and a very good one at that, with many classes to choose from in your adventure. I’ll go over Light Brigade’s classes, and point out which ones I personally like most.
It is worthy to note that every class offers a pistol and a wand. Both may be different, and the wands especially may do different magic, so I’ll be discussing the guns and how useful they are in my experience.

Rifleman
The starter class, and not a bad one either. You have your rifle, obviously, and a pistol along with a wand. The rifle is decent on damage, and for a starter gun, I’d argue it is one of the better classes.
Scout
This differs a good deal from the first, as we are now handed a machine gun that doesn’t offer very good aim to be honest. The kickback is pretty bad, so if you plan to actually shoot multiple bullets, be aware of that.
Pistolier
Literally a class dedicated to pistols, and pistols only. Now, you’ll get to duel wield them, but honestly, I disliked this class even more than scout, because I could hardly aim.
Assault
This was my favorite class, and may still be. You get an assault rifle, and it was pretty easy to aim with. Did decent damage and after an upgrade, I was doing pretty good with it.
Militia
Surprisingly, this has been the one I’ve spent the most time with. As where you have to get this to rank 10 to unlock the final class, I played with it a lot, and even managed to get to the 2nd boss, something I didn’t do with the other classes. I’m sure part of that was due to the upgrades I had accumulated. The aiming is alright, I do feel like it is off sometimes, but for the most part, I got a handle on it.
I feel like I might go back to this one, and see how far I can get since I already have the time invested.
Sniper
So was this class actually worth waiting for? Sort of. You get a sniper rifle, and have to reload for every shot. This isn’t very difficult, but it does take a second or two depending on how fast you are, and that time can be precious in a fight. The plus side to the gun is that it does a lot of damage. Most certainly the most for any gun in a single shot.
Final Thoughts
While the choice of class is totally up to you, I feel like Assault and Militia are the best. Those will be my two I’ll be focusing on as I move forward with my game. I hope everyone has a good time with the game, regardless of the class you’ll choose.
