After my many playthroughs of (paid link) Resident Evil 8 and writing my review, I thought it was time to share some Resident Evil 8 tips. I did a similar article for (paid link) Resident Evil Requiem, so check those out here and also the review for that as well. I tried to come up with tips that weren’t completely obvious, so let’s begin.
1. Kill Everything
This is debatable, which is fine, but I found that killing all enemies you came across to be very rewarding. All enemies drop either money or a treasure, so obviously, the more you kill, the more the rewards. These treasures ranged from mildly valuable to decent but it all could go towards either a new weapon or weapon upgrades.
2. Get the Treasures
So at the same time that The Duke tells you about the children who have the flasks, he also marks treasures on the map. These are worth monetary value. You can’t immediately run off and get all of the treasures, but you can absolutely obtain them all in a single playthrough and pocket from it.
3. Explore
While I understand going through the story might be important, it is equally important to explore because this game rewards you with treasures and other finds. For example, after you finish Beneviento’s area, you can go back to the graveyard in the center of the village, grab the other part of her broken grave slab and take it back to her place to unlock a treasure. If you don’t do this immediately after though, you lose your chance. There is also a secret boss that can be fought after beating Monroe but you have to go looking for it, so you’ll miss that too if you go too fast.
