I recently beat and did a review for Xmas Survivors, a roguelike auto-shooter centered around Christmas and Santa with guns. Sound interesting? It was so make sure to read that review. Anyway, I felt like ranking the Xmas Survivors weapons you can start with, since obviously some are better than others. Let’s begin.
4. Rifle
This weapon absolutely frustrates me. It does not autolock onto enemies so you constant have to maneuver around to aim in which sort of defeats the purpose. It has a fast fire rate, but it’s only as good as your speed in this case.
3. Revolver
The very first weapon you begin with. It does what you would expect. A single bullet kills an enemy. No more, no less. However, it is still betrer than the rifle, since it will auto lock to the nearest enemy, which why it is in 3rd place.
2. Sniper Rifle
Definitely the better weapon but not the absolute best, in my opinion. It has an alright fire rate with autolock on and the bullets pierce. This could definitely be used if you’re in a tight spot but it ultimately doesn’t compare to the last weapon I need to discuss.
1. Shotgun
The shotgun is the ultimate weapon for this game, as far as a starter weapon is concerned. It does good damage to your target, which it autolocks onto and it does spare damage to the enemies closest as well. This is was my choice as soon as I unlocked it and I didn’t deviate from that choice.
