If you don’t know, I recently did a review for Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland and now I want to discuss what my top 5 copy abilities are. I’ve done this before after doing a review for (paid link) Kirby and the Forgotten Land. You can see that top 5 list here and now, we’ll begin this one.

5. Laser

This is something you no longer see in the newer games, but it really came in handy with certain enemies and puzzles. It is pretty handy with certain enemies too, as you either can shoot a laser straight forward of you can bounce it off of another surface.

4. Fire

You can never quite go wrong qith the fire ability, but did you know this is not quite the same fire we’re used to? It’s actually missing a component of its typical playstyle. What is it? Keep reading to find out.

3. Sword

I always enjoy the sword ability but there is a big issue with it. The sword only does one slash, so it’s pretty basic. This is something I wasn’t too pleased with in my review, noting that they didn’t really bring any quality of life updates to the remake.

2. Freeze

This is not the Ice abilitiy, this is its own separate abilities much like Fire and the one below. This sends out a chill area around Kirby which freezes enemies who touch it. This is included instead of Ice simply because I found it more useful.

1. Burning

Alright so this is what the Fire ability is missing. If you’ve played a more recent Kirby game, like (paid link) Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe or even going back to the DS games, such as (paid link) Kirby Squeak Squad, you would know that the Burning ability, which is make Kirby fire off as a fireball, is now mixed with the Fire ability now. They’re combined.

However, they weren’t previously. They were their own powers, which leads me to this being #1 since I use it often. It’s good for blasting through obstacles and enemies alike.

Conclusion

What are your favorites? Top 5? Message us over on Facebook and let us know! If you don’t have a copy of (paid link) Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land, I do recommend it. Until next time, happy gaming everyone!
