You guys know how much I love a good roguelike title. It should also be known by now that sometimes I put myself through some very crappy games to revise them for you. Which is Godsvivors? Well, let’s go over this Godsvivors review and find out.
Gameplay
The gameplay starts out pretty ordinary. Defeat a ton of enemies in Purgatory, which doesn’t look like Purgatory at all. It’s actually just straight Hell, which really bothers me. Actually, a lot bothers me but we’ll get into that. You choose a God or Goddess to play as and then choose a gun. Yes, gun. They do not give the Gods their own individual weapons, which would have made so much more sense. Anyway, choose your gun and off you go. Try to survive 15 minutes, collecting EXP and gold as you defeat enemies.
At each level up, you choose a skill you wish to have such as a further range pickups, more damage, etc. Each character does have their own special passive ability that does something different. Outside of you runs, you can go to the forge and purchase different tools to help you during your run. Such as increasing your pickup range, damage percentage and others such as those. It didnt take me long to get all of these and they made the game quite easy.

Graphics
Alright these are an absolute disaster. Most of the time the game looks very fuzzy and unclear. I was quite disappointed when I started to play and the worst part is that there are moments where the game looks clear, but it lasts only seconds.
Soundtrack
The one redeemable aspect of the whole game is its soundtrack. It’s pretty much playing metal, a sound you would think of when seeing Hell. Atlas, it doesn’t help the game much but still cool.
Controls
These are pretty simple. A to confirm, move with the left analog stick, aim with the right and shooter with the right trigger. So a little more effort than an auto-shooter, but not much and not nearly as much fun.
Replayability
I believe this game offers very little to no replay value. Once you’ve unlocked everything, there isn’t much left to do. Let me also say that I beat this game in under two hours. That’s very short, even for a roguelike auto shooter.
Scores
Gameplay: 3/10
Graphics: 1/10
Soundtrack: 3/10
Controls: 4/10
Replayability: 1/10
Overall:

Conclusion
While I did have something akin to fun playing this game, I am mostly happy to just move past it and onto a better game. Thanks for reading this Godsvivors review, but please, don’t buy it. If you do insist on checking it out though, you can find it on the Nintendo Switch, Steam, Playstation and Xbox. If I were you though, check into Monster Panic, Twilight Survivors & Army of Ruin way before this one.
