Oh who doesn’t love some Mario Party? Well, the new game has been out for over a month now and I think it’s time to talk about some of the great Mario Party Jamboree mini games they gave us. These are in no order.
Three Throw

I may not be a big sports guy, but I have always enjoyed basketball. It’s nice to get out and throw hoops with your friends. Well, welcome to a mini game centered around taking shots to get points. Whoever gets the most points wins. This is a pretty simple games, but if you shoot a ball at a goal that’s already been taken, your ball could roll off and miss a point or it could fall into a lower basket and score you even more points.
Cookie Cutters

This is an incredibly simple game, for the most part. It’s a 1 vs 3 challenge where you mash a certain button to use your specifically shaped cutter to cut the cookie. To explain this better, look at the picture above. The left, top and right buttons all have corresponding shaped cookie cutters that must be used correctly with whatever cookie is next in line.
The single player is responsible for cutting all the shapes and must keep track of which button is what. The team of three must keep track of what they’re assigned cutter button is and then act accordingly when needed. It can be a bit more challenging working as a team compared to going solo, in my opinion. Nevertheless, it’s still a fun simplistic time.
Tiny Triathlon

I’m the only one in my family who likes this game, but that might be because I always win. You compete in swimming, a bicycle race and a small dash of sorts to see who gets to the finish line. it can be a little hard to maneuver the bike, because you have to sort of petal the Joy Con in your hands, but it’s a good time.
Snow Brawl

Who doesn’t love a good smow ball fight? We’re getting to that weather again, and I think I might try to hit a few people. In the meantime, I’ll take my fun to this mini game where it’s 3 players versus 1. One person will have monkeys on their side helping to throw snow balls. The game ends when either the 3 players are hit and frozen or the single player is. Hitting the monkeys will take them out as well.
Prime Cut

This is a 2 vs 2 mini game where you work together to try cutting a steak as proportional as you can. It’s actually challenging to get it cut the right way. I haven’t gotten a 50/50 split. The team who gets the most even proportion gets the point out of three rounds.
Two Axis Taxi

This is another 2 vs 2 where you are racing taxis. This is done via one player controlling the vehicle moving left to right and the other moving up and down. There’s obstacles in the way so you really have to work as a team to get to the finish line before your opponent. I’ve lost this game a couple times and won a few. It really depends on if you get behind, because if you do get hit a couple of times, it can throw you off and there’s a slim chance you’ll recover from it.
Hot Cross Blocks

This game requires some strategy to win and isn’t so easy as it first appears. You are tasked with crossing the lava to the exit. To do so, you must choose one of the four patters that will rise from the lava and make a pathway for you. However, if more than one person chooses the same pathway, then no one gets it. So truing to choose one that no one else will can be difficult but very fun at the same time.
En Barb!

This is one of the rhythm mini games where you have to stab the food being thrown at you. This is done by thrusting your Joy Con forward. It’s actually fun, though perhaps simple. You can easily miss though if you aren’t paying attention well enough or go too fast.
Yoshi’s Mountain Race

For this game, each player mounts a Yoshi and must climb the mountain. It’s not complicated or complex, but it’s always fun racing your opponents and maybe sabotaging them a little bit.
Sandwiched

This has to be one of the most simplistic games on this list, but I enjoy it every single time. Sandwiches are falling and you must avoid being squished by them. This is a 4 player game so it’s every play for themselves. It gets increasingly more difficult as time goes on.
Conclusion
